Before we know it, spring will come to an end and the blazing sun of summer will take its place. For many cold-lovers, this is a very sad time since it indicates the reign of the sometimes scorching heat. However, many of us are also thrilled to see the season change from freezing to sweating. I am one of the summer-loving enthusiasts. So, without further ado (drum roll please), I give you 10 reasons why summer is so much better than winter.

1. You can wear super relaxing clothing.

Shorts, tank tops, flip-flops, sandals, Chacos, you name it!! The ease of getting dressed is amazing.

2. The days seem longer so we tend to get more stuff done.

Thanks to daylight savings time our winter days are abruptly cut off to save some energy. However, in the summer it can be 8 o'clock and the sun is STILL out so late night gardening isn't an issue.

3. The heat isn't always a bad thing.

The heat and sweating are actually quite beneficial for those suffering from dry skin. Although we do tend to sweat more, our body, which is releasing more natural oils, is getting the ultimate skin treatment.

4. You aren't as hesitant to crawl out of bed.

This one is HUGE for me. When I am warm and comfy and snuggled into my bed on a cold winter night...nothing except an exam can get me out of bed.

5. Ice cream and frozen and iced cold treats taste ten times better.

Random ice cream and frozen yogurt runs are a very important summer ritual. Not to mention all the sweet new smoothie and frappe flavors that various places feature for the summer months.

6. Free tanning all summer long (no tanning bed required).

Need I say more? Yes, we might eventually get awkward tan lines but overall we do have a much more radiating complexion.

7. Definitely feeling the festive summer vibe.

Those summer concerts, new radio singles that bring in the summer vibe, and music festivals are a must for the expectation of summer.

8. Driving with the windows down.

Especially at night, this is such a soothing tactic to fully enjoy that summer breeze. If you have long hair, however, always remember to have a hair tie nearby.

9. You can never say no to pool days and beach vacations.

Ah, how exciting it is when your friends want to lounge around by a pool all day with you. It's no doubt a fun atmosphere. And let's not forget those awesome family or friend beach outings! Having your toes in the sand is an understated luxury.

10. Finally getting to take a much-needed break.

Summer also indicates (at times), for fellow college students, a two-month breath from academics. Yay for not having our brains fried 24/7!! Also, you get to take a break from your totally impressive procrastination skills.

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.
