10 Reasons Why Your Sisters Will Forever Be Your Best Friends

Growing up with younger sisters, you will never think you will be best friends. In that matter, you did not even think you would be friends. You fight constantly but when you are growing up you are always there for one another. They will be your best friends for life!

1. You realistically have three closets.

I think most people who have the sisters will agree that the best part of having sisters is wearing their clothes more than your own. Well that's until you go to college but, that is what your roommates are for.

2. They are always willing to tell you what no one else will.

They always tell you the truth, especially when it is about pictures. Personally, I send my sisters about 10 pictures a week repetitively until they get annoyed with me and finally answer and tell me the truth about what picture they like the best. And of course, they are always the very FIRST people to tell you that you are singing the wrong lyrics.

3. They have seen you at your worst.

Whether they have seen you projectile vomiting for the first time when you were five, or crying the first time you really got in trouble by your parents, or the first time a boy breaks your heart.

4. Even when other people are against you, they never are.

Typically, you and your sisters don't like the same people. That is probably because they have done something to you or your sister. No matter how much trouble you get in with your parents, you at least know she is there for you... Well that is unless she's the one who got you in trouble.

5. You can be fighting but ten minutes later, everything is okay.

You have so much in common that all you do is fight. You can be having the biggest fight of the century with her over a blanket, but five minutes later you will both be laughing because the same blanket is in the other room in a different color.

6.You never feel embarrassed around them.

No matter what you do, you will never be embarrassed around them. As your family, they have to like you. No questions asked.

7. They will lie for you.

Your sisters will be the ones to lie for you when you need them to because they will always be nosy and they will ask you questions. When there is something you want to do, but don’t want your parents to know or your not allowed to do, your sister will be there to keep up your lie. Your sisters will always be there. (You may have to do something for them in return though.)

8. No one understands you like they do.

No one will ever understand you like your sisters do. Growing up together is the best way to understand someone. They have seen everything and anything you have been through. They know the person you are, and they can see who you are going to be in the future.

9. Your favorite candy in the house: hide it.

If your mom only buys your favorite snack in the house once in a while, hide it as soon as you see her come home from the store with it. Growing up with two sisters, this was always a must for me if I wanted to eat it in three days.

10. They will never leave you.

It's not only because they are your family, it is because everything I listed, your sisters will never leave you. You will always have best friends in your sisters.

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
