Every year countless of college kids go on Spring Break. While some go to Mexico, Miami or other tropical paradises, some decide to spend their break in their hometowns. While drinking in bikinis on the beach may be nice, here are 10 reasons why next year you should consider spending your spring break at home.

1. Eating real food.

Admit it, your mom's food is incomparable to anything you or anyone else can cook.

2. Saving money.

Who needs to spend hundreds of dollars on plane tickets and hotel rooms, when you can go home and have your parents pay for everything.

3. Taking a real shower.

At last a shower you don't have wear shower shoes in. You can finally take a long hot shower (and maybe even a bubble bath) without being totally grossed out.

4. Hanging out friends from High School...

Or Not (whichever your prefer).

You finally get to tell all your high school friends all your frat parties and hear about theirs. Or you can spend the week in your pj's. Either one is good.

5. Seeing your family.

They love you, you love them. Enough said.

6. Sleeping in your bed.

It's bigger, it's better, and odds are the sheets have just been washed.

7. Living in a clean place for once.

You come home to a clean house and somehow it magically stays clean the whole week. Shoutout to your mom am I right?

8. Getting to be lazy and watch TV all day.

Ok, you can do this anywhere but at home your parents bring you food and your couch is probably way more comfortable.

9. Jamming out in your car with your friends.

It's a right of passage. You butcher dozens of songs by screaming them at the top of your lungs, but who cares, odds are there are at least five other cars doing the same thing

10. Probably the most important... cuddling with your pets.

Ok, let's be honest. The only reasonable explanation as to why anyone would choose to come home instead of spending their Spring Break drinking on the sunny sandy beaches is they most likely have a dog. The minute you walk through your door you immediately embrace your dog, leaving your parents standing awkwardly above the two of you waiting for you to even acknowledge their existence. Dogs. Nothing can beat them.
