Whether you're attending a 52,000 or 200 seat concert, there are plenty of reasons to attend a live concert. Here are some of the greatest reasons as to why you should attend a concert.
1. They Are Right On Stage
You've always listened to them through the stereo in your car, but once they appear on stage, it's a whole different ballgame. They are right in front of you and interact with you! Everything about the energy of the venue is just magical.
2. Meet and Greets
Sometimes if you're lucky or if you pay a certain amount of money, you're able to meet your favorite musicians. Nothing is more exciting than getting an autograph, selfie or just two minutes to chat with your favorite musician about whatever you want.
3. Meeting Fans
Most of the time, whoever is sitting or standing next to us, ends up being our buddy for the night. We either chat for a few minutes, smile, laugh or sing a long with them. Or they even sometimes just watch our stuff if we have to go to the bathroom. Even though we don't really keep in touch after the show is over, it's a great way to meet other fans who share the same love as you.
4. Song Anticipation
We all cross our fingers in hopes that they play that one song we've been waiting to hear. When our favorite song comes on, we scream like little girls and start singing a long. Or sometimes they play a song that we thought that they would NEVER play at a show.
5. Merch
Who doesn't love cool merchandise? We all want that cool new t-shirt or that overly priced sweatshirt with all the tour dates on the back. It's part of the whole experience. I mean, who doesn't want to spend sixty bucks on that sweatshirt that probably cost ten bucks to make?
6. Picture Perfect
Capturing the moment doesn't always require just showing up to the concert. We bring our cameras, whip out our phones or start recording our favorite songs of the show. This way we can post it all over social media and show the world how much we loved THAT specific moment.
7. Discover Music
Nobody really pays attention to the opening acts or they either show up just on time so they don't have to watch the opening acts. For all of us that stay for the opening acts and listen, sometimes we discover new music. Sometimes it surprises us and we just want to rush down to their march table and buy their new album.
8. Memories
When you're at a live show, everything just comes together and makes you happy (except those obnoxious fans nearby). The lighting is right, the musicians are getting the crowd pumped and you have food, drinks at your disposal. Most likely you have a few friends that tagged a long with you. Every thing becomes a memory.9. Dance Like No One's Watching
You get to dance, like no one is watching. Even though you're around hundreds of people. Guess what? Nobody cares, because everybody is a great dancer that night. No matter what.
10. Surprise Announcements
Sometimes your favorite musicians grab fans on stage, announce new music, have a special guest, perform new music or announce that they'll be doing something pretty darn awesome. Something you didn't expect, happens and the concert that you thought was amazing, just got incredible.
