Football season starts this weekend, and Oklahoma State students are ready for the Cowboys to take the field. At Oklahoma State and in Boone Pickens Stadium, we are all family and want to cheer each other on. Being in BPS, cheering on the boys is an incredible feeling that is like nothing else. I have been ready for football to start since last November, and I think everyone else feels the same. All you freshman and any other students that haven't been to game, you need to get ready and get your all sports pass, because there is nothing better than being in Boone Pickens on game day!

1. The Atmosphere

The atmosphere is Boone Pickens is insane. There are so many people there and it feels like we are all a family. We all stand, we all chant, and we all yell to cheer on the boys. I've had many people tell me that they don't even like football, but they go to every game to be apart of this crowd.

2. The Cowboys

Of course, we are all there to watch the boys. And they are going to be incredible this year! I'm ready to watch us dominate the Big 12. Get ready because hell's coming with them!

3. The Chants

One of the best parts of the game is participating in the fight song and all the other traditions we do throughout the game. These traditions are what make up the unique atmosphere of the games at Boone Pickens.

4. Sea of Orange

Lots of college stadiums try to stripe the stadium (even OSU came out with a plan), but I think what makes us different than other colleges is that we are proud of our orange and having a sea of orange is way more intimidating than white and orange stripes.

5. #HellOnEars

We are hell on ears. I don't know anyone that came out of a game last year that didn't have a hoarse voice. Everything that we do is loud and can be heard all over Stillwater.

6. Bullet!

We can finally see Bullet running out on the field again!

7. Tailgating

Although it is hard to tailgate for those 11AM games, there is nothing like cooking out and getting pumped for the game around the stadium with your Cowboy family.

8. Paddle People

One of the most feared groups in the Big 12 is the Oklahoma State Paddle People. This group takes away the hearing of the opposing team, and although there are rules in place when they can paddle, they make BPS intimidating to any opponent.

9. The Cowboy Marching Band

The Cowbooooooyyyyy Marching Band excel in their formations and always managing to shock us all! I can't wait to see what they have in store this year.

10. All We Will Do Is Win

The Oklahoma State Cowboys are bringing hell with them this year. Get ready to be singing DJ Khaled's "All I Do Is Win" on repeat.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
