People are always telling me that I will never get a boyfriend because my standards are too high. For this, I blame television. There are so many amazing guys on the shows that I watch and I can't help but think that there are actually guys like this somewhere in the world. My favorite show ever is "One Tree Hill" and one of the reasons for this is the character Nathan Scott.

For those of you who don't know who Nathan Scott is (where have you been?), he is the bad boy turned good. In the show, Nathan dates a girl named Haley and they are absolutely #relationshipgoals. I'm sure that I'm not alone when I say that I fell in love with this boy in episode one.

1. Nathan always knows what to say and when to say it.

It's incredibly hard in today's society to find a guy who is vocal about his feelings. Nathan is not afraid to share his innermost thoughts.

2. He is always aware of Haley's feelings.

Nathan doesn't even have to open his eyes to know that there is something wrong with his girl. He is so aware of her feelings and it's absolutely beautiful.

3. He's spontaneous as hell.

Nathan realized that he was in love with Haley and decided to propose to her. He didn't care about what other people might think. He just went with his heart.

4. Nathan is willing to sacrifice everything for his relationship.

In the series, Haley gets pregnant and, when Nathan finds out, he is willing to give up his entire basketball career for their new family.

5. He is completely respectful of Haley and her beliefs.

Haley has really strong beliefs and, instead of belittling her because of them, he respects her.

6. Nathan is the perfect amount of sarcastic.

Being sarcastic myself, I find this to be a very endearing trait. He makes being sarcastic so sexy.

7. He knows what he wants and goes after it.

Nathan does not settle for anything less than everything.

8. Nathan knows how to love, truly and unforgivingly.

It's hard to find a guy that will love you unconditionally and Nathan Scott has this down to an art form.

9. He knows how to put bad weather to good use.

Everyone dreams of that one day when the people they love will spontaneously kiss them in the rain.

10. He's pretty easy on the eyes and that never hurts.

Yes, Nathan, you are very sexy.

Never settle for less, no matter how many people tell you that your standards are too high. Don't be afraid of being single until you find the right guy. You deserve someone who will treat you right and nothing less. So, keep looking, because somewhere out there is your Nathan.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
