10 Reasons Why I Love Planet Fitness

You either love it or hate it.

10 Reasons Why I Love Planet Fitness
Jamie N Sherman

I have a membership and workout at Planet Fitness, and I love it. When trying to explain it to people, I receive raised eyebrows and doubting looks. To make it simple, here are my ten reasons why I love it.

1. You can look like an idiot while working out, and nobody will mind.

No critics right? Or at least that’s their motto.

2. My wallet does not cry every month when I have to pay my membership fee.

Only $10 a month? That’s only a fraction of what I spend on unhealthy food a month, hence why I need a gym membership.

3. They are open 24 hours.

Can’t sleep at 3 am, or just want to check out what kind of people are at the gym at that time? Planet Fitness has you covered.

4. There is a personal trainer on staff, and they provide free training.

Why pay hundreds of dollars for a personal trainer, when you can get one for free?

5. It’s okay if you do something wrong.

Chances are the person next to you is doing it wrong too.

6. They teach you how to resist temptations.

Free pizza and bagels? No thanks, I’m trying to get fit.

7. There’s no need to feel intimidated.

Half of the gym users are grandmas and grandpas, the other half are trying to stay in shape.

8. They know how to clean.

Honestly, I have never been there when they are not cleaning something. You could not find a speck of dust, even if you tried.

9. There is a ton of equipment.

Even the first two weeks of January, you can always find the equipment you need.

10. The workers are friendly.

As cliche as it sounds, some days you just really need that “hello” or “goodbye”.

You can agree or debate the matter with me, but I love Planet Fitness. There is no other gym I would rather be at, and I have been to my fair share of gyms. If you don’t believe me, try it out sometime. I guarantee you will love it too.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
