There are a lot of reasons that being a woman is hard, and for as much progress that has been made, there is still a long way to go. Regardless of our status in society, though, there are so many reasons why being a woman is awesome.

1. There are things we're better at

There are certain things that women, in general, are better at than men, such as listening, communication, and empathy. That's not to say that men can never possess these skills, but it is pretty well known that women are better at expressing their emotions, and this is important and is part of what makes women wonderful.

2. We have women-specific experiences

There are experiences that women have that many men miss out on. Numerous memories of slumber parties, doing our makeup and getting ready with friends, shopping, and more. Even experiences that were not great at the time, such as period horror stories, are ones that we look back on and laugh at.

3. Our relationships with other women

There's no relationship quite like the one between a girl and her best friend. That's not something any woman would change for the world.

4. We can be mothers

Sure, fathers are important too, but the bond between a mother and their child is one like no other. Providing a home for a child for nine months is said to be an amazing experience, and it is one that is specific to us.

5. We get to prove people wrong

Women have long been thought to be the "weaker sex" that are incapable of many of the things that men are. We have been proving everyone wrong for centuries and will continue to do so. We are strong and proving this is an incredible feeling.

6. We have amazing leaders to look up to

There are countless women throughout history who have fought for women's rights, and I feel connected to each and every one of them. Our modern leaders are just as great, from Michelle Obama to Beyonce, there are so many amazing women in the world today.

7. We are a family

We are all sisters who support and encourage each other, and I love being a part of a big family like this. I am so proud when I see women accomplishing great things, and it makes me proud to be a woman.

8. We have something to fight for

It's horrible that women still don't have the equality that we should, but being a part of this fight makes me feel important and empowered, and I love being involved in this fight.

9. We are beautiful

Feminine beauty cannot be matched. We are soft and curvy and beautiful in a way that men cannot be. I love and appreciate my feminine body, and so should every woman.

10. We're amazing

Plain and simple. There's nothing we can't do. I love being a woman, and I wouldn't ever want to change it.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
