I know so many people that have pets too, like birds, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, the list goes on. Having an animal that looks after you and loves you unconditionally is something unexplainable. The bond I have my dogs is something I would never trade. There is something about coming home, and seeing your pet so excited to see you, that makes you feel so loved.

If you hesitate on getting yourself or your kids a pet, here are 10 reasons why you should get one.

2. They will play with you and keep you active.

Most pets love running around and playing with their toys with you, which will keep you moving as well.

3. Your pet will cuddle with you when you're sad.

Animals can sense when their owner is sad, and will try to comfort you by snuggling up and giving you lots of affection.

You are the reason your pet is healthy and happy. They will never forget that and always be happy to see you.

5. They are so adorable.
