"Gossip Girl," a teenage sitcom that ran from 2007 to 2012, was highly acclaimed and well loved by many people while it was running. In fact, it has even got a large following today, with makeup tutorials to mimic characters, Twitter accounts with quotes, and pining after the characters and their actors. Even after all these years, "Gossip Girl" still holds up as a great television show, and it's easy to prove it.

1. Getting To See New York

"Gossip Girl" was filmed on location in New York City, so you got to see a ton of the city itself, which was awesome for the non-natives.

2. The Subjective Liking/Disliking Of Characters

Everyone had different opinions on the characters, so it was a perfect discussion topic with all your "Gossip Girl" friends to see who everyone liked. Personally, I'm a huge fan of Jenny Humphrey, though she's rather disliked by everyone else.

3. The Boys

Nate, Chuck, Dan, Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick, and Penn Badgley are irresistible. C'mon.

4. The Quotes

"Gossip Girl" has had some of the most inspiring and amusing quotes, whether sad, funny, inspirational, or just sassy.

5. The Soundtrack

No one can deny that the soundtrack for "Gossip Girl" was amazing. They played great music, even including selections from Taylor Momsen's Band and Leighton Meester. And really, that one "Lincoln Hawk" song Rufus plays was really good.

6. The Different Couplings We Loved

There was no shortage of relationships and love triangles in "Gossip Girl," and there are definitely plenty of relationships not even on this love triangle. And you could like who you liked, regardless of if they ended up together or not. (Serena should've totally ended up with Nate though.)

7. The Fashion

The fashion and looks from "Gossip Girl" certainly still stand up today, with some of the most iconic and loved looks.

8. The Drama

There was also no shortage of drama in "Gossip Girl." Each season had new struggles. Chuck's mom? Ivy Dickens/Charlie Rhodes? Juliet and Ben? Chuck and Blair? Louis? There was always something going on.

9. Cameos By Famous Actors And Other Famous People

Rachel Zoe, Sebastian Stan, Lady Gaga, Vera Wang, Tory Burch, Kristen Bell, Aaron Tveit, Hilary Duff, Tyra Banks, William Baldwin, Cyndi Lauper, Ivanka Trump, and many other well known fashion icons and actors have had appearances and even long running parts in "Gossip Girl."

10. Dorota

Dorota was the best part of the show. Don't even try to deny it.

You know you love me.

XOXO,

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
