10 Reasons That God Says We Should Never Give Up
Book Review: Politics According to The Bible

There can be so many times in life that it just seems better to just give up.

Sometimes we're even told that it's easier to just give up; to stop trying.

Even though the going gets rough, it's so important to remember that God is on your side and that He is for you. God tells us that not only is it important to never give up, but that it's important to fight. Fight for relationships, fight for health, fight for your friends, fight for everything that is good and right, and never stop trying.

God will provide us with the strength we need, no matter the situation; and he will never put something in your life that you can't handle.

With that being said, here are 10 reasons that God says you should never give up:

1. 2 Chronicles 15:7

"But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded."

2. Isaiah 41:10

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

3. Jeremiah 29:11

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

4. Joshua 1:9

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."

5. Matthew 11:28

"Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

6. Philippians 4:13

"I can do all things through Him who gives me strength."

7. Psalm 37:24

"Though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with His hand."

8. 1 Corinthians 16:13

"Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong."

9. Mark 10:27

"Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God."

10. Galatians 6:9

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

When the weight gets too much to bear, or when life gets a little too hectic, just remember that God is with you, and He will always give us strength when we need it.

Keep pressing on, have faith, and never stop fighting.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."
