Each one of my friends has different qualities that make me love them. There’s one friend in particular, though, that I am so thankful God led me to. There are plenty of reasons I could give you on why I’m glad God made her my friend, but here are my top 9 favorite reasons.

1. You give me makeup tips to make me as flawless as you. For some reason I could never get in to makeup, but your few pointers on what brands and brushes to use helped get me started.

2. We share a bond over undercooked brownies and cookies. The gooier the better, right? The answer is yes. One thousand times yes. I don't like eating desserts unless they are our desserts.

3. You actually take interest in something I am in love with. If it weren’t for you I wouldn’t have someone to drag to every single one of my dad’s boring races. For my other friends that I brought along, they watched but it didn’t get their adrenaline pumping the way it did for me. But it did for you. You actually love going to watch my dad race with me and that makes me the happiest person on the planet.

4. You take interest in the music that I like and introduce me to new music you know I love. This kind of tags along with number 5, but you show me new artists that I end up loving and vice versa and now we both love Sam Riggs and Aaron Watson. Oh and not to mention a few songs by G-Eazy. I love getting to see artists we both love at their concerts with you, like Luke Bryan.

5. You came to visit me when I was at work and sat with me on break. Seriously my job drove me up the wall and you sat there and listened to me complain about it during almost every break that I got. It was nice to try new menu items and have someone to vent to.

6. We share friendship bracelets. I've never had a real friendship bracelet before with any of my friends. Ours was the best 98 cents I've ever spent. I rarely ever go anywhere without it. It honestly means a lot more to me than just plastic elephants on a string.

7. You help me perfect the party pony and the top knot and really any other hairstyle because you make them work for you first and then you teach me to do them. Except they always look better on you because your hair is a lot thicker than mine and you just make it work better than I do.

8. You treat my family like your own family because let's face it they really are. You walk in to my house like its your own and you eat my food like its your food solely because you can. What's yours is mine and whats mine is yours.

9. You love me for who I am. You accept my attitude, my annoying habits, my past, my present, and my future. Seriously, you are one of the greatest people there is and there is not a single bone in my body that would ever want to live this life without you, and the major role you play in it. Thanks for being the greatest friend.

When it comes to Bloomington-Normal, there are many outstanding factors that any Illinois State student can say are unique to our college town (and maybe others too). Proud or not, we Redbirds know all the ins and outs of Blono.

1. The wait for Buffalo Wild Wings is always going to be long on Thursday nights.

As hard as we try, it's nearly impossible to resist the 69-cent wings on a college student budget. Plus, they are always delicious!
