10 Reasons Why Football Season Is The Best Season

We all have those months of the years that are our favorite. A lot of people like fall for the coffee, pumpkins, fall weather, and more layers. However, a vast majority of people like fall because it means one thing: Football Season. There are many great things about football season, but here are the top 10 I could think of:

1. Football season means football players.

Let's be real ladies; you may love the sport with your whole heart, but some of those boys out there look mighty fine in some shoulder pads and football pants, am I right or am I right?

2. There is always something to watch on tv.

You watch your favorite team, then you watch your rival, then you watch the other schools. Then on Monday when you are trying to do your homework you may turn on the tv and watch 5 games all day long.. but it is football season so no one can judge you!!

3. Tailgates are always so much fun

Tailgates are a time to come together and celebrate the victory you are about to have with all your friends. If you love tailgating just know it starts when the sun comes up and stops when the sun goes down. It is basically like a party every weekend, what could be better?

4. Tailgates mean tailgate food

So let's make sure everyone understands, you get to party all day with your friends, watch a sport that most all Americans love, and eat lots and lots of good food. Yes, I said it, food. From chips and dip to hot dogs and hamburgers there is always so much food to go around. So make sure you wear something that will hide your food baby and eat all the food you want cause its gameday.

5. You get to lose your voice every Saturday because of screaming at the tv.

Your neighbors may think you are crazy, but when it comes down to the 4th quarter with 2 minutes left in the game and your team is down by 7, you start screaming at them as if you know what they should be doing. Then on Monday when you go to class and your throat is a little scratchy and people ask you why just tell them this: "I was a football coach over the weekend."

6) There are not many things prettier than a football Stadium (let alone Sanford Stadium)

There a lot of beautiful things in this world, some are small some are large; however, come the fall very few things are prettier than a football stadium filled with thousands and thousands of fans cheering on their teams.

7. You can go above and beyond in your wardrobe to support your team.

See that obnoxious red pants or striped shirt? Well wear it, nothing screams more pride than wearing as much school colors for your team on game day. Wanna wear face paint? Wear it. Wanna wear shoulder pads? Wear them. Have fun with it!

8. You act like you are best friends with the players, even though you probably don't know their first name

You talk to your friends at home about the pros and cons of each player and they probably think you are best friends with them, but in all honesty, you probably do not even know their first name or where they are from, all you know is how they perform on the field.

9. You can talk about college football with pretty much every person.

You will never have an awkward silent bus ride with someone during the fall because there will always be something to talk about. Whether it be about the underdog team that came back and kicked butt, or the complete wipeout of another team, everyone knows what happened the week before in football so you will be able to talk about it.

10. It only comes around once a year for about 3 months, so it is a very special time.

Three Months. Approximately 90 days. 16 weeks. That's all we have of this great sport. So when it does come around, make sure to be ready and to have fun because there is so much that goes into football season.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
