It's the most wonderful time of the year because baby it's cold outside. Well, unless you live in the south. Then it's probably not cold outside yet, but have high hopes it will get there. Either way, this time of year is my favorite for many reasons and here are a few.

1. Football

Our favorite pastime around this time every year is none other than football season. We all sit around the tv and through parties or make our way to the stadium to cheer on the boy of fall. We can't wait for the weekend to enjoy watching our favorite teams play on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. We practically even make Super Bowl Sunday a holiday.

2. Hunting

Here in the south, one people's favorite pastimes is sitting in a stand or a blind and waiting for just the write moment to take the shot. We even take it to the point of wiping deer blood on our faces when we get our first one. Oddly enough, around here families bond over shooting guns and drinking beer.

3. Sweaters and Hoodies

There's really no better feeling than breaking out the hoodies and sweaters, especially if you're like me and have hundreds and stare at them all summer waiting to get to wear them again. Let's be honest here here's nothing better than fall clothing and sweater weather, really.

4. Boots

Oh man, boots. I live for time it's cold enough to wear them. Any kind really. Rain boots, Ugg boots, combat boots or my pretty leather boots with my initials on them. This list could go on and on, but I think you catch my drift. Boots are beautiful and comfortable, and just like hoodies I have way too many. I also sit and stare at them all summer waiting for just to drop below 70 so I can put them on again.

5. The beauty

Fall is so beautiful. The leaves are red, orange, yellow, and brown. All the beautifully leave painted yards and cute yard decorations make the perfect combination of beauty.

6. Bonfires

Bonfires are really the best! Nothing better than sitting around a nice fire when it's cold out, maybe making some s'more and roasting marshmallows.

7. Snuggling

There is nothing better than coming in after a nice crisp day and snuggling up to someone (or a body pillow as I prefer). Drinking hot chocolate while being all snuggled up and defrosting is an amazing feeling that comes along with fall and winter.

8. The Holidays

The three best holidays happen during this time of year and we all know what those are. Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are definitely the best three holidays because what's better than free candy, free food and free presents?

9. The Movies

The movies that go along with those holidays are the best are always my favorite. I mean let's be honest here we could all watch every single halloween town movie anytime of the year -the same goes for the Santa Claus with Tim Allen and the polar express. When you combine those movies with the Halloween, cold weather and the snuggling in a nice hoodie and that's a good day.

10. Pumpkin flavored things

Last but most definitely not least, my personal most favorite thing about this time of year: pumpkin flavoring. I crave pumpkin pie all year long, and I honestly don't know why we only eat it in the fall. I guess that's what makes it so great because you only eat it at certain times in the year, so I guess I'll just enjoy it while it last.

Happy Fall, Y'all!

The Battle Between College And My Mental Health

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

For the average 20-something, life moves pretty fast. You’ve got classes, friends, relationships, jobs, family, and whatever else we overcommit ourselves with. I probably should have learned to say no to adding more to my schedule a long time ago, but instead here are 11 things that can be more helpful than coffee.

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
