10 Reasons Why Fall Is The Best Season

Summertime is a wonderful time. Full of fun in the sun, lazy days out by the pool, and nights that are made for making memories. But school comes back around and life goes back to normal until next year. Tans fade, but there is always the excitement of next summer to get us through the long winter months.

But before we get to those long winter months there are a couple months squeezed in of fall, or autumn as some prefer to call it. It is a wonderful couple of months. Sadly, it is too cold to hang out by the pool on fall nights, but that's what bonfires are for. It is more than just pumpkin everything, although that is an upside. Here is a list of 10 reasons why fall is amazing.

1. Crisp mornings

How can you not love walking out the door in the morning and not feeling like you just walked into a sauna? Grab that favorite sweater to just throw on to head to class or to work and that's all you need.

2. Leaves changing

All the colors! They're oh, so pretty. It is the perfect time to take a trip up to the mountains and go hiking or just go up to take pictures. Or, if you're lucky enough to have a place to go pick apples, I have heard that it can be a fun way to spend an afternoon.

3. Hot coffee

Iced coffee is great and all, but nothing beats waking up and making that fresh cup of nice hot coffee and grabbing your favorite travel mug and enjoying the warm and fuzzy feeling that the coffee fills you with. It just isn't the same trying to drink it in the summer. When it is cold and you take a sip of the hot coffee, you can just feel the warmth and caffeine give your soul a hug.

4. The food

There are some foods that only work when it's cold outside. Things like chili, pumpkin pie, spiced apples and, well, cinnamon everything would be just fine with me. There are foods that are too rich to have any other time of year outside fall and maybe winter.

5. Sweaters and flannel

Speaking of flannel, it is the best, though it is best to have t-shirt on underneath. Because I don't know about the rest of the country, but down here in Georgia, it can still end up getting pretty hot halfway through the day.

6. Warm blankets

Nights are colder, so that means it's time to pull out the warm and fuzzy blankets. Or if you're anything like me, those handmade crochet blankets are a must-have, go-to item. Nothing is better than curling up with a nice warm blanket in bed and watching Netflix sipping on some hot chocolate.

7. Halloween

Easily one of the best parts about fall. You get a reason to dress up like anything you want without being judged too much. Let's be honest, there is always going to be a little judgment. Also, you can get away with buying lots of candy and say that it is for the trick-or-treaters, when it's really all for you.

8. Football season

College football is a way of life in this country, particularly if you live in the South. It is actually more than just a way of life down here; it is more of a religion. The rivalries run deep. Rivalry weekend is usually the weekend of Thanksgiving. And, believe you me, best friends can become total enemies on this weekend.

9. Thanksgiving

Food, football, family, shopping and Christmas Vacation -- National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, to be exact. These are the best ways to sum up Thanksgiving. Not to mention it marks only one more month until Christmas. Christmas decorations are going up, Christmas music begins and the holiday movies come out.

10. Christmas is almost here!

How could you not be excited about that?

So as summer draws to a close, there are a lot of things to look forward to in the coming months. Soak up as many hours in the sun as you can, but get ready 'cause fall is coming!

Blair Waldorf

The "Gossip Girl" series may be over, but Blair Waldorf's iconic character lives in our hearts forever. Blair was the queen of the Upper East Side, and a character you either loved or hated. She taught us everything we needed to know about life, love and of course, how to score a Chuck Bass. So the next time you feel a bit lost and are in need of guidance, look no further than to the Queen B herself.

As I spend my Sunday avoiding my homework and other adult responsibilities, I realized that I've watched this series over and over about a million times. Sadly, there isn't a Blair quote I don't know, so I came up with a list of a few favorites. You know you love her...xoxo

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.
