Dan Howell and Phil Lester (also known as Danisnotonfire and AmazingPhil) have a friendship that many envy. These two British lads partake in a number of activities together, from traveling the world together to running a collaborative Youtube gaming channel. Here are 10 reasons why they’re truly (hashtag) friendship goals.

1) They stand up for each other.

At a Vidcon panel there was a spur of conversation between the Youtube panelists. Dan sat back and had an observational role until he noticed that Phil was repeatedly being talked over. He then interjected to pause the flow of conversation to allow Phil a chance to speak.

2) Their fashion aesthetic compliment each other.

Dan dresses as if he’s the brother of the Grim Reaper while Phil’s wardrobe is drenched in a multitude of shades and nebulas. Combined, their closets contain every color and shade possible.

3) They go great lengths for each other.

For those who don’t know, humidity levels of Hong Kong are currently around 70%. While in humid nation, Phil was bedridden and required medicine. Dan took it upon himself to get medication despite the regeneration of the curls of his Hobbit hair. He got moist for his best friend. Not everyone will go through such extreme weather conditions for a friend.

4) They are honest with each other.

They published published roommate reviews for each other for millions of readers. Who can say they're that open?

5) They are close enough to know each other's pet peeves.

After an argument left Dan feeling haughty, Phil strolled back into the room with a video entitled “Hello Internet” playing on a laptop. The video is Dan’s first Youtube video that constantly causes him to cringe to the depths of Earth.

6) They watch out for each other.

As self-dictating social recluses, they generally leave their cozy niche in London only for tours, conventions, or videos. For example, they made sure neither of them walked in front of a car while on a trip to catch creatures from an augmented reality mobile game.

7) They have been on endless adventures together.

In 2015 the world saw the publication of their collaborative book entitled The Amazing Book Is Not on Fire. In 2016 they toured three continents (North America, Asia, and Australia) to promote their book and meet their fans. There are few places in the world that they haven't been to together.

8) They impart wisdom upon each other.

While in Asia, Dan helped Phil regain the chopstick skills that he lost in pancake filled London.

9) They take risks together.

The three-legged Dance Dance Revolution challenge they took part in on their gaming channel perfectly demonstrates the dangerous and terrible risks.

10) They had articles written about them.

This article is one of the many that have been blessed by their beautiful friendship.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
