10 Reasons Why Chick-fil-A Is My First Love
Business Insider

There is no other fast food chicken restaurant that can compare to Chick-fil-a or, as I like to call it, "Chick-fil-bae." Sorry not sorry KFC, Zaxby's, and Bojangles. I would love to personally thank S. Truett Cathy for founding Chick-fil-a. That man personally brought the closest thing to Heaven on Earth that I will ever experience. Mr. Cathy is a saint.

1. The Lemonade

I will buy gallons of the stuff at the time. Seriously, I have no shame when buying this stuff in bulk. If you go to Chick-fil-a and don't get the lemonade with your order, I will have some serious questions. You can get Coke and Dr. Pepper products most anywhere else.

2. The Happy Employees

It's always so refreshing to see people working at a fast-food restaurant who are happy. The employee's happy demeanors are always quite infectious. And I love it that I can go to any Chick-fil-a anywhere and hear "My Pleasure." Their attitude makes me almost want to work there.

3. The Waffle Fries

Oh glorious french-fry paradise. These fries are certainly far superior to any other french fry. The waffle fry delicacy is best served when hot, crispy, and straight from the fryer. The fries are the perfect companion to the Original Chicken Sandwich.

4. The Nuggets

As far as I'm concerned, these chicken nuggets might as well be gold nuggets; I mean, they are just as valuable as real gold (well at least to me). I was super excited to find out that they expanded their nugget tray selection as well. Honestly, if I was hungry enough I could eat at least 30 nuggets. Just get me some Polynesian sauce and I'll be good to go!

5. The Play Area

Some of my best childhood memories are on the Chick-fil-a play areas. While a lot of fast food places are getting rid of their play places, I am glad to see Chick-fil-a keep theirs. It definitely helps keep a family-friendly atmosphere and I really appreciate that. I'm also sure that the parents are thankful for some quiet time when they are eating and the kids are playing.

6. They Are Closed On Sunday

While yes this can sometimes be a bummer, I fully support it. I consider myself to be a religious person and I like the fact that they observe the Sabbath. It's also a good weekly reminder about what day of the week it is.

7. The Breakfast (or Chicken Minis)

If I am even in the vicinity of a Chick-fil-a and it's breakfast hours, you can bet that I will be there stuffing my face with Chicken Minis. Simply put: they are breakfast perfection. Really though, the entire breakfast menu is something to behold. From biscuits to burritos it really is impossible for you to not find something you love.

8. The Seasonal Peach Milkshake

Nothing says summer to me quite like the peach milkshake from Chick-fil-a. I look forward to it coming back every year. Yes I realize that other places have peach milkshakes year-round, but nothing can compare to this peach-flavored perfection.

9. The Chick-fil-a Cows

The Chick-fil-a Cows are always up to some crazy shenanigans. I know it's silly but I find them super amusing. Plus they are just so adorable. I applaud whoever came up with this brilliant and ironic advertising method.

10. Dress Like a Cow Day

This day should be a national holiday. I mean, who doesn't want to dress up like a cow to get free chicken? If you don't, you probably need to rethink your life choices. My favorite is seeing all the people dressed up and secretly judging and ranking the other costumes. I'm sure the employees hate this day. But you would never know that because they always have a smile on their face.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
