1. Seeing your friends.
You went from spending almost every waking moment with them to being separated for more than 3 months. The reunion of old school chums is going to be great.
2. No more polite conversations about "how school is going."
God bless your parent's friends, but you’ve answered the same “so how are you liking OSU” question too many times.
3. Football season.
The beginning of the school year also means the beginning of another great football season complete with tailgates and yelling O-H-I-O at every possible moment.
4. The parties.
Upon returning to your hometown you quickly remembered how boring it was and going to a high school party was out of the question. Now binge watching Netflix won’t be your only option on a Saturday night.
5. Going to class. *gasp*
That’s right you’re excited for class, days in and out of watching Netflix and working have grown boring and going to class is starting to sound more appealing. This will wear off quickly though.
6. The food.
You don’t know if you’re more excited to see your friends or to be reunited with your one true love: Canes (no slaw, extra toast, butter both sides). Not to mention Adriatico's, Apollo’s and basically everything on High Street.
7. Living on your own.
Nothing against mom and dad, but you can’t wait to be on your own again. You’re tired of being asked when you’ll be home or having to explain why you need to order pizza at 2 a.m.
8. The bars.
You’ve grown tired of the hometown ‘restaurant by day, bar by night’ scene. It’s filled with adults and you only know the two people you came with. Midway, Ethyl and Tank, and Too’s (not for long though) are calling your name.
9. The Oval Beach.
There’s nothing like hanging out on the oval beach with hundreds of other students and watching people throw a Frisbee or playing with a stranger’s puppy that wandered your way.
10. It's THE Ohio State University.
You go to the greatest school in the nation, why wouldn’t you want to go back?
