11 Reasons Why Buffalo Sabres Fans Are Simply The Best

This team is more than just a wins or loss record, it's what bonds the city of Buffalo together.

Being a Buffalo Sabres fan takes a lot of years off your life, but in the end, it'll be worth it.

1. We appreciate success .

We haven't been a winning team recently, but it makes us appreciate our past seasons when we were on the top of the standings. We are still waiting for those seasons again.

2. We know heartbreak.

If you can make it through the 2007 free agency where both Chris Drury and Daniel Briere got traded, then you can do anything. I think the entire city of Buffalo was curled up in a ball crying that day.

3. We have thick skin.

Yes, we get it. We haven't won a Stanley Cup yet.

4. We have a good memory.

The Sabres have been a revolving door when it comes to trading and keeping players. The players keep getting younger and you begin to realize that you're getting really old. Each season it's practically a brand new team with new faces and names you'll have to remember.

5. We still have a good time no matter what.

Attending a Sabres game can be a blast even if they're losing. We always have a smile on our face no matter the score is. We continue to chant "Let's Go Buffalo" throughout the First Niagara Center.

6.We are very patient.

We are extremely loyal and patient fans. We are still waiting for that Stanley Cup parade and to have the Stanley Cup lifted high in the streets of Buffalo.

7. We have a "Go Big or Go Home" mentality when it comes to dressing up for games.

Sabres fans go all out in outfits for the games, especially during the holidays. In the month of December, you'll see a lot of Santa Clauses walking around the arena.

8. We travel to see our boys.

Sabres fan will travel great distances to see the blue and gold take center ice in a different arena. We will stand proud no matter what is said or thrown at us from the opposing fans.

9. We are always positive even though we know we'll end up in last place.

Sometimes the season doesn't go as planned, but we continue to have fun and shrug it off. We might be last place, but that doesn't mean we still can't have a good time. "There's always next year."

10. We are fighters.

Oh how I miss feisty Ryan Miller. Buffalo Sabres fans don't give a crap and we will tell it how it is. We are brutally honest and let our opinions known whether we think a player is under performing. We do this out of complete love, we want our boys to improve.

11. We stand together as a community, we are family.

Through the ups and downs, we are family. The buffalo sabres are more than just a team, it's a lifestyle that we've grown to cherish. It's the stories you hear from fans and relatives which get passed down to generations. It's the jerseys you collect and your favorite player's last name you proudly wear on your back. It's all nights you stayed up past your bedtime because the game was going into a shootout.

Keep staying awesome, Sabres fans.

One Buffalo.
