It's easy to feel lonely and unwanted sometimes when you are single. In a society where it seems like all anyone ever wants to do is fall in love it can make you feel horrible that you haven't found "the one" yet. I would know. I've been single for over a year. But you know what? I've learned a lot about myself and realized that being single is actually pretty freaking great. Here's why.

1. The only person you have to worry about is you.

If you get an amazing opportunity to travel across the world, you want to stay out all night with your girlfriends until 2am, you get transferred to a new job or feel like going to a new school, you GO, you do it. There is no one to answer to. No one to ask, no one to discuss it with. You don't have to consider someone else when making big decisions because you are the only one you have to consider and that's AWESOME.

2. You don't have to shave your legs if you don't want to.

If no guy is going to touch them or be near them, hey? Why not. Don't shave them for a couple weeks it's a pain in the ass to do anyways.

3. You can flirt with whoever you want.

If you see a cute guy in the club, you meet a chill guy on a plane or see a hottie with a body at the beach, you can go for it. You don't have to feel guilty because you can flirt with, kiss and do whatever ever you want, with whoever you want.

4. You can enjoy things without worrying about someone else.

When you go on vacation far away, or you are doing anything really, you get to enjoy it without missing anyone. I watch so many couples who spend time away from their significant others and instead of enjoying their vacation with their family, they spend the entire time missing their S.O. and missing out on life. That's not you my friend! You're the one squeezing the most out of vacation!

5. All of your money gets spent on you.

You don't have to buy expensive birthday gifts. You don't have to "split the bill". You don't have to buy someone else stuff to make them happy. You get to spend it allllllllllllllll on you!

6. You can take up all the room in your bed.

That queen size or king size bed you have? Yeah it's all yours. You can hog all the covers and take up as much room as you want.

7. You don't have to deal with "relationship drama".

You don't get into fights, you don't have to ask for anyone's permission, you don't have to do anything to make someone else happy.

8. You get to spend all your time doing what YOU want.

"Compromise" is a foreign word to you. What's a compromise? You get to do whatever you want! Want to watch The Office all day long? You do it. Want to go shopping for four hours? Sure! You don't have to watch 3 hours of boring golf. You don't have to watch dumb action movies. It's the best!

9. You don't have to split your time.

When you are in a relationship, most of the time you have to split your time between your friends and your S.O. This can cause strain on both relationships because usually one will complain that you don't spend enough time with them. Not you! Your friends have you all to themselves.

10. Lastly, you get to decide who is worth your time.

When you're single, you have all the power in the world to decide who is good for you and who isn't. You will wait for who you deserve and weed through all the losers. You have the power to say "no". When Mr. Right comes a long, you'll know. But for now, you are just content on being you and there is nothing wrong with that.

College is a crazy, beautiful, amazing whirlwind. It is highly popularized in television and movies, but not necessarily in the most accurate way. Yes, there's frats, dingy dorms, raging house parties—but there's also a lot that people fail to mention.

1. If you thought that you knew how to study, you're wrong.

All of your classes aren't taught every day, so professors aren't on your case constantly about reading and memorizing material. Once you get back that "questionable" first exam grade, you'll kick it into high gear and figure out what works for you

Girl With Bleached Hair
Tumblr

I've been a bleach blonde for over a year now, and let me tell you, it is a lifestyle. More hair appointments, longer showers, and special shampoo. But it is totally worth it!

1. Mentally preparing yourself to convince your hair dresser that white is the way to go.

2. Or the anxiety of what could go wrong by bleaching your hair at home.

3. You could either become a ginger

4. Or a pixie

5. The face you make in the mirror when you take off your towel to unveil the perfect white strands.

6. Taking a million selfies the day you bleached it, because you know your roots will be back in literally 2 days.

7. Having to get bangs or a big chop because your hair is so damaged.

8. Having orange highlights in between touch-ups.

9. Going out for a drink afterwards to debut your updated look.

Despite the struggles, you love your platinum blonde hair! You make sure Instagram knows it, too. You don't need a filter, because the color is flawless by itself!

Finals: just thinking about them gives you anxiety. Only two weeks separate you from summer, but they're the longest of the semester. I've been at this college thing for almost three and a half years, and while I thought that high school was truly the lowest point of my existence, I'm beginning to realize that it was a walk in the park. Like, I miss the days when the biggest white lie I told my parents was my made up excuse about being late for fourth period. These days, the white lies are a tad more complex, and as ashamed as I am to admit it, I've definitely told a few of these.
