Being a Journalism major is a pretty risky thing. Many people can't stick with it because it's too hard, competitive, and risky. However, being a Journalism major can be awesome if it's a good fit for you. So you may be asking -- why Journalism? I've honestly always wanted to be a journalist since I can remember. I even was on the morning broadcast team when I was in fifth grade, and an editor for the yearbook when I was in high school. When I get asked about my major, there's always a reaction, whether it's good or bad. I understand the reasoning for both, but I've complied a list telling you why my major, Journalism, is awesome!
1. You're always learning
2. You become confident with yourself, and find your voice.
3. There's opportunity to be well known for something worthy, not something scandalous.
4. You're not tied down to one specific task, because there's so many topics you can cover.
5. You learn to always fact check, and be morally ethical.
6. You get to meet important people.
7. You get to experience new and fun things for free.
8.You have something to be proud of!
9. You learn how market yourself.
10.You get to travel!
