As Labor Day weekend draws to a close, the unofficial end of summer is upon us. But don't fret! Fall is just around the corner. Here's ten reasons why autumn is the absolute best season of them all.

1. Sweater Weather

As the weather cools down, the sweaters can come out. You can finally wear a long-sleeved shirt without feeling like a complete sweaty mess the whole time. Not to mention, over-sized sweaters make such cute outfits. Who doesn't like a good pair of sweater paws?

2. Warm beverages.

With fall comes Pumpkin Spice Lattes! And hot cocoa, and tea, and many other drinks that you can sip on a cloudy morning or enjoy while cuddled up with a good book on a cozy night in.

3. Pumpkin Spice everything.

This isn't such a plus if you're not a fan of the pumpkin spice trend, but if it's your thing, you're in luck. The pumpkin spice trend is in full swing and there's all sorts of products on the market that can cater to your PSL cravings without necessitating a trip to your local coffee shop.

4. The foliage.

Where I live, the leaves don't really undergo the dramatic color change seen elsewhere in the country. If you're lucky enough to live in a place where the leaves do change, you know that it can be super awesome to look at.

5. Halloween.

You can dress up in a super elaborate costume you've been planning for months, or you can put on some sweat pants and say you're dressed up as a college student. You can go out and party or you can stay home and marathon cheesy Halloween movies. The possibilities are endless. Plus, it gives you an excuse to eat as much candy as you want without judgment. What's not to like?

6. Going back to school.

School can be a drag, yes. But hear me out. If you can look past the crippling stress and mountains of work, school is an awesome outlet to make new friends and learn a whole bunch of new things. Plus it gives you a chance to show off all the new clothes you bought for the new school year.

7. Football!

Football games are often the epitome of school spirit. If you wanna get hyped up with a whole bunch of your friends, a football game is one of the best places to do it even if you don't really like the sport. Plus it gives you a chance to get all decked out in school colors and get closer to your classmates.

8. The weather.

Fall is the time of year when the sun finally stops trying to burn us all to a crisp. The days get cooler and crisper, and you don't feel like you're in immediate danger of melting into a puddle of sweat anymore.

9. The clothes.

Fall weather makes it totally acceptable to wear sweats, leggings, and hoodies every day if you're so inclined. If you're not so keen on this style, there's plenty of cute fall fashions you can take advantage of instead, like boots, scarfs, and beanies. The fashion possibilities are endless.

10. Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving is an amazing time to go home and catch up with family and friends (Friendsgiving, anyone?) and stuff yourself full of good food. It also provides a well-deserved break from classes, which is always a good thing.

So as fall autumn begins, don't forget to make the most of the best season of the year!

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
