It's the most wonderful time of the year! October is here, and the season dedicated to annual stereotypical traditions that we all take part in has begun. Beginning in September, the internet is full of a variety of ideas and lists, such as "31 must-do fall activities in October" or "# things to do in the fall," every list being basically the same typical items such as drinking an infamous Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks or going on hayrides. Has anyone ever completed any of these lists? I couldn't tell you, but I can tell you 10 Fall Activities Everyone Can Relate To.

1. Spending money on overpriced pumpkin spice flavored drinks despite the calorie count in the notorious fall beverage...

2. ...and then posting it on social media with captions such as, "first one of the year" or "basic AF."

3. Wearing a flannel, vest, boots, and/or any other fall related clothing/accessories on the first day that the temperature is below 75 degrees.

4. Constantly displaying your excitement for fall via social media in a hipster way.

5. Making fun of friend groups that post candid pictures at a pumpkin patch or apple farm, but then later mentioning the idea of going to a pumpkin patch or apple farm to your friends.

6. Making a vowel of actually trying to be something out of the ordinary for Halloween but ending up buying cat ears or a witch hat.

7. Buying candy corn despite the fact that you've never gone through a whole bag.

8. Retweeting at least four different tweets that include the picture below about fall.

9. Buying pumpkin scented anything but only using it mid-September until Thanksgiving.

10. Spending an absurd amount of money on new fall clothes even though they probably look similar to clothes you bought on previous fall shopping sprees.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
