"Wow it's cold outside!" "What are your sizes?" "Does a mocha have mocha in it?" These are some of the things we baristas have to hear every single day. If you work in a coffee shop then you totally get it. We get to hear what we call "stupid questions" all of the time! I mean come on, yes a mocha does have mocha in it, why else would it be called a mocha??? And why yes it is very cold outside...it's winter people!!

Working with the public can be difficult. There is a certain way to react to these "stupid questions" without causing a scene and scaring the customers away, not to mention, loosing your job over. So, we put a smile on and answer with every last piece of positivity inside of us.

However, inside our heads, we react a different way. And when the customer leaves we tend to talk about it. These are 10 of the reactions we tend to have every shift:

1. The "Did they really just say that" face.

2. The "Are you kidding me?!" face.

3. The "What the hell did I just witness" face.

4. The "OMG make up your mind" face.

5. The "Wow you really think that way" face.

6. The "Are you really going to ask me what muffins we have" face... THEY ARE CLEARLY LABELED.

7. The "OMG your breathe is death please back up" face.

8. The "Yes a mocha really does have mocha in it" face.

9. The "I can't believe you are let out into the real world" face.

10. The "I can't believe you come in here everyday and ask me the same question" face.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
