I have a love of words and travel. These two things shouldn't come as a big surprise. I'm a content creator for Odyssey in my free time and most of the articles I post have to do with adventure. These two passions combine into what may also seem obvious - I love a good travel quote. Sometimes an experience abroad can be so life changing that describing the feeling of the moment seems impossible, until you're searching through Pinterest and find that someone has done the job for you. This also comes in handy when your Instagram caption ideas have run dry and you need something that captures eating a croissant while staring at the Eiffel Tower. My phone is overloaded with wanderlusting screen shots and I thought I'd share my favorites with you.
My hope is that they inspire you to book that flight, back your bag, and get away. Or if that isn't possible, to start a piggy bank that will one day make your dream destination a reality. This is also an article for any traveler on the lookout for a new caption. Keep wandering my loves.

The truth is that traveling is not defined by age. If you're still alive you still have time to catch that flight. And if you're in the middle of traveling don't get stuck on your schedule. Stay a little longer in the places you love, extend your trip. Schedules are things we make up in our minds, memories are the things that

There is so much to life. I couldn't even imagine all of it, until I began getting out there and experiencing it. The world extends past your driveway, your street, and your town's limits. Don't let those experiences be the only ones you know.

I can't say that there has been a place I've traveled that I've disliked. Seems crazy right? Each country has something amazing to offer and any negative encounters just turn into good stories. So yeah, I've got a crush on the world and can't wait to fall in love with more of it.

This is hands down my favorite travel quote. I believe that travel is all about being "comfortable with the uncomfortable." You will face situations that you didn't expect, that you don't want to deal with, that you don't know how to deal with, and that make you take a whole new perspective on the world. These are the moments that your attitude makes all the difference and that you will be most thankful for in the years to come.

I decided to take a gap year before heading to college and it couldn't have been a better choice. I learned time management, speaking up for myself, problem solving, cultural communication, overcoming homesickness, taking care of myself when I'm sick, oh the list go on. The best part was getting to college and reading about somewhere I'd actually been. I'm a big believer in hands on experience.

My best travels have never really ended, because they live on in my stories.

They are the best stories, because they are mine. I'm the one living the adventure and feeling alive. Doesn't get much better that.

Whenever a trip ends I sit at the airport for a little while. I give myself a few minutes of silence before greeting friends and family at the other side of the terminal. It's my recognition that the trip has changed me, and other than the people that were beside me on the adventure, no one will know that exact me at that exact time. I like to cherish the feeling for a bit before being back home changes me too.

You've got to do some mundane stuff to do some big stuff, but if it's a choice between the two always choose the big stuff. The mundane will still be there waiting.

Enough said.
