10 Quotes Of Motivation To Finish The Semester Strong

It's late November, aka the time of the fall semester that every single college student begins to feel sluggish. Maybe it's the weather changing, maybe it's a tease of Thanksgiving break that is begging us to be lazy, or maybe it's just because we are more than ready for winter break and basically hibernating. Whatever is slowing you down, here are some motivational quotes to keep those gears turning. We need to finish strong, keep stamina up, and stop adding so much fluff into our papers. Let's be motivated!

1. "Success is not final, failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue that counts." -Winston Churchill

2. "Be fearless in the pursuit in what sets your soul on fire." -Unknown. Don't forget why you started college, don't lose that passion for whatever may be your niche in life.

3. "No matter how you feel, get up, dress up, show up, and never give up." -Unknown We need to push aside those feelings of laziness and remember that we started this semester with a purpose and if we stop now, we are only cheating ourselves.

4. "You only fail when you stop trying." -Unknown This quote can be taken quite literally for any college student: when you stop going to class, when you stop studying, when you stop trying in your courses you will not only fail in general but you will probably fail that class. We cannot stop trying this late in the game.

5. "If you can't fly, then run. If you can't run, then walk. If you can't walk, then crawl. But whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward." -Martin Luther King Jr. Spoken like a true genius, however it is best fit for us in our own lives, we must get to that finish line. It might require night classes so you can work during the day, it might require online courses, or even the dreaded 8 a.m. classes, but whatever it takes we must keep moving towards that degree.

6. "If it wasn't hard everyone would do it. It's the hard that makes it great." -Unknown If college was easy, wouldn't every single person have a degree? Push harder in your efforts knowing that what you are working towards is an exclusive, coveted prize that is irreplaceable.

7. "Believe you can and you are halfway there."

8. "Mistakes are proof that you are trying."

9. "Decide that you want it more than you are afraid of it." If you can put the worries aside and focus on how badly you want to be educated, you are golden. Do not lose sight of the big picture.

10. "The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you." It is important to remember we are lucky to be educated and we should never take that for granted. The end of the semester is always a tough time for any college student across America but we must keep focused and always remember that education is a wonderful thing: regardless of how stressful it may be.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
