As an avid reader sometimes you just find yourself struggling to get through the days, but something about the words written in your books just sticks in your brain.

These are 10 quotes from a slew of my favorite authors to help you get through the lower of your days.

1. "It takes ten times to put yourself back together as it does to fall apart."

-Suzanne Collins, Mockingjay

2. "In the end, good must win over evil. The trouble is trying to figure out which is which. Sometimes they look so much alike."

-Cecil Castellucci, Tin Star

3. "What is the point of being alive if you don't at least try to do something remarkable?"

-John Green, Paper Towns

4. "We accept the love we think we deserve."

6. "Trust me, though, the words were on their way, and when they arrived, Liesel would hold them in her hands like the clouds, and she would wring them out, like the rain."

-Markus Zusak, The Book Thief

7. "Becoming fearless isn’t the point. That’s impossible. It’s learning how to control your fear, and how to be free from it."

-Veronica Roth, Divergent

8. "You spend your whole life stuck in the labyrinth, thinking about how you’ll escape one day, and how awesome it will be, and imagining that future keeps you going, but you never do it. You just use the future to escape the present."

-John Green, Looking for Alaska

9. "I am coming to terms with the fact that loving someone requires a leap of faith, and that a soft landing is never guaranteed."

-Sarah Dessen, This Lullaby

10. "You don’t know what goes on in anyone’s life but your own. And when you mess with one part of a person’s life, you’re not messing with just that part. Unfortunately, you can’t be that precise and selective. When you mess with one part of a person’s life, you’re messing with their entire life. Everything. . . affects everything."

-Jay Asher, Thirteen Reasons Why

These quotes are just a few lines from great pieces of literature. Pick up a book and check them out...you wont regret it!

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
