Unless you live under a rock, you've probably heard all the buzz around Rachel Hollis's new book, "Girl, Wash Your Face." If you haven't read this book, run (not walk) to the closest Barnes and Noble and pick it up if you want to feel like a totally new person when you finish. So many people struggle with feeling like they aren't enough (myself included), so if you want to make a change, pull yourself together and wrap yourself in positivity (which is exactly what this book will do).

1. "Girl, get a hold of your life. Stop medicating, stop hiding out, stop being afraid, stop giving away pieces of yourself, stop saying you can't do it. Stop the negative self-talk. Stop abusing your body, stop putting it off for tomorrow or Monday or next year. Stop crying about what happened and take control of what happens next. Get up, right now. Rise up from where you've been, scrub away the tears and pain of yesterday, and start again... Girl, wash your face!"

2. "Turns out, the most beautiful things in my life were never on my to-do list."

3. "When you really want something, you will find a way. When you don't really want something, you will find an excuse."

4. "You don't grow or change or become who you want to be by sitting in one place. You become that person when once you take a leap of faith, and you're flying through the air, and you have no idea if you have a parachute, how you're gonna land, and you don't know what to do. That's how you become who you were meant to be... so jump."

5. "Our words have power, but our actions shape our lives."

6. "You must choose to be happy, grateful, and fulfilled. If you make that choice every single day, regardless of where you are at or what's happening, you will be happy."

7. "As long as you allow someone to treat you badly, they will continue to do so. If you're not able to value yourself, no one else will either."

8. "... you're not in control of what life throws at you, you are in control of the fight."

9. "Embracing chaos might be the journey we take to finding peace."

10. "You cannot ignore your pain. You cannot ever leave it behind completely. The only thing you can do is find a way to embrace the good that came out of it."

I hope you realize how enough you really are. We are all on our own journey, but it's all about how we embrace both the highs and lows that shapes our life.

8 Things I Realized After My First Semester In College

Actually, Kylie Jenner, 2018 is the year of realizing things.

The first semester of college is famous for being one of the most difficult transitions of one's young adult life. You're thrown into a completely new area where the majority of the people surrounding you are strangers in an academic environment that's much more challenging then what you've grown accustomed to for the past twelve years. On top of that, you probably share a room with another person (or even multiple people) on the lumpiest "mattress" you've ever slept on.

With this change comes a lot of questions: what do I want to major in? What am I passionate about? Is what I'm passionate about something I'm actually good at? Why does the bathroom smell like cranberry juice and vodka? What is that thing at the bottom of the shower drain?

6 Unrealistic Expectations Society Has For Young Adults

Don't let the thesaurus-inspired vocabularies in our résumés fool you. We're actually just big kids.

Well over four feet tall and 100 pounds in weight, many of us "young adults" of the world still consider ourselves children. Big, working, college-attending, beer-drinking children. We may live on our own, know how to cook noodles, and occasionally use a planner, but don't be fooled; the youthful tendencies that reside within us still make their way into our daily lives. From choosing to stay up until 3:00 a.m. playing video games on a school night to going out in 30 degree weather without a coat, we still make decisions that our parents and grandparents would shake their heads at in disappointment. So why are we expected to know exactly how to be a wise, professional, sensible adult? It's not that we're irresponsible (for the most part, anyway). It's that we are young, inexperienced, and still have the sought-after, enthusiastic mentality that we can do and be whatever we want, which has not yet been tarnished by the reality of the world. These are just a few of the unrealistic expectations that society has for young adults.
