"Seriously you're gonna play that beer drinking tractor singing crap"
"You can't trust her with the aux, she'll just play country!"
*sigh*
Time after time for most of my high school years, and even now into my college years, country music has been getting put down almost every time I play a song.
Now, I understand that anything overplayed can become very, very aggravating and we always want to spice up the songs we jam to on a Friday night, but please hear me out.
Reasons Country Music isn't so bad...
1. It's feel good music!
Not one time when I've put on a country song in my family car, or hanging out with friends has the reaction been "That was so depressing, " because it never is! Country always lifts your spirits, if you let it.
2. It makes you move
I have never been to a country concert in which I didn't catch everyone in the crowd dancing along, and screaming every word to the songs. Really!
3. Its perfect music for a night out with friends
If you are in need of a serious girls night, a country concert is exactly what you need.
4. It puts you in the perfect summer mood even if it's January and it's Snowing out
If you're bummed about the weather, or catching some seasonal depression, pop on some Kenny Chesney and you'll be cured.
5. It's romantic, to spend a night with that special someone
An absolutely perfect date night, I promise you.
6. The harmonies are beautiful
If you're a music buff you will 100% fall in love with the harmonies performed in the songs!
7. There's a guitar solo for everyone's music taste
From the Metallica fans to the fans of old fashioned country, the guitar playing has such a variety
8. Perfect excuse to tailgate
An amazing excuse to grab some beer and a burger and chill out.
9. Sing it
No matter if you sing like a dying cat or you hit every note country music welcomes you!
10. A flannel and a ccowboy hat
Nothing makes you feel as free as the signature outfit.
So please, give country music a shot, you won't be disappointed!
