Moving half-way across the country for college is hard work, but moving back home is even more difficult. College life and life at home are very different. Leaving your school, the place you just spent the last nine months of your life at, means leaving behind a life you made for yourself. You had to be responsible for yourself, make your own decisions, no curfew, waking up whenever you want and doing whatever you want when you want. Here are some questions I've had ever since I moved back home from college.

Is it OK to order pizza to the house at 3 a.m?

Are pizza places around here open at 3 a.m?

Are my parents going to wake me up before noon or will they let me sleep until 3 p.m?

I wonder what all my college friends are doing?

Why do I have so much extra money in my account? Oh, right I don't have to use Uber anymore.

Who am I supposed to post Instagram pictures with?

What happened to all my friends from high school?

Is Mom going to do my laundry or is that still my job?

Do I still have a curfew?

Mom, you're going to make all my appointments still, right?

Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
