As much as I am attached to my phone, I know when to put my phone away and do something else, like when I go to class. Although I don't judge people for being on their phones (okay, maybe I do), I just have some questions for those people. Of course, I understand that there are some emergency cases that you will need to have your phone out but besides those, I am utterly confused. These are just questions, and although they may sound critical, I do not mean to be offensive.

1. Why are you on your phone?

2. What's that important that you need to be on your phone all the time?

3. How do you not get caught?

4. Are you really getting your money's worth of your tuition if you spend class on your phone?

5. Are you still paying attention to the class or just paying attention to your phone?

6. Aren't the other people you are messaging in class as well?

7. Are you encouraging other people to be on their phones in class because you are?

8. Have you ever been told to not be on your phone before?

9. What do you do on your phone the whole time?

10. How did you come up with all these ways to hide your phone?

And although I do occasionally get bored in class, I still cannot wrap my head around that someone would come to class and only be on their phone the whole time. Not only is that person not getting the value of the education they are paying for, others may not as well. Another student could see that a student is not getting in trouble or yelled at for being on their phone and do the same. Or another student could see that student on their phone and be distracted by that person on their phone. I also just don't understand the appeal or real need for someone to be on their phone the whole class. From what I have noticed and others have told me, this is not just a rare occurrence and happens in most of my classes. Although I do come off as being critical, I am ultimately just incredibly confused by the whole matter.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
