10 Questions I Had After Watching "13 Reasons Why?"

The tapes didn't cover everything.

The book "13 Reasons Why" has recently been adapted into a TV show, and many of us have watched the whole series (thirteen one-hour long episodes) as quickly as possible because the anticipation was building up. For those of you who have not yet watched the show or read the book, I will not go into deep detail about exactly what happens at the end, but there are ten lingering questions that I have remaining.

Warning: there are some spoilers ahead!

1. Will Bryce ever listen to the tapes?

In my opinion, he is the main reason why Hannah committed suicide. He confessed to raping two people (probably even more honestly) and is mentioned on the tapes consistently, yet he has never gotten a hold of them.

2. Did Alex really kill himself?

Although it was evident throughout the show that Alex was no longer happy about the life he was living, he attempted to drown himself earlier on, but then didn't. It seems hard to believe that he would do this, and there are definitely conspiracy theories that maybe Tyler was involved (i.e. the gun scene in the last episode).

3. Did Sheri really like Clay?

It seems bizarre that Sheri would have feelings for Clay when literally the whole school knew that he was in love with Hannah. I kind of think that Sheri was using him to make sure that he didn't spread the word about the horrible things that she had done.

4. What happens to Justin?

At the end of the season, he is kicked out of his house and is more hopeless than we have ever seen him. Although the way that he handled the Jessica-Bryce situation was wrong, he was trying to protect the girl that he loves, even though everything backfired for him.

5. What does Mr. Porter do after listening to the tapes?

Mr. Porter was the last person on the tapes, the 13th reason why. I wonder how he handles this situation after listening because he did nothing to help Hannah when she was desperate for help in the first place.

6. Is Jessica going to be okay?

At the end of the season, Jessica comes clean to her father about the rape. She also lied at the deposition by claiming that she had no knowledge about the tapes. I'd be curious to see what was going to happen to her next.

7. Will Courtney ever come out?

Although there are secrets that need to remain concealed, Courtney's sexual orientation is not one of them. Her reasoning for keeping her identity quiet was extremely irrational (her two Dad's are gay) and she is embarrassed about something that is so common.

8. How will Clay and Skye's relationship progress?

Although Skye is the typical example of teenage angst, she is a good person and keeps many secrets for Clay. It seems like Clay has a history of falling for complicated people, so I wonder if he will fall for her due to her loyalty.

9. What will happen to Tony?

Tony willingly kept all of Hannah's secrets but finally decides to give up the tapes to her parents (even though that may not have been what she wanted). Will the Baker's place blame on Tony, or will they understand Hannah's wishes?

10. Will there be a season two?

There are so many questions that are left unanswered, and we never get to see how the trial all pans out. We are all anxiously waiting for the answers!

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
