I have been subscribed to receive monthly $10 ipsy bags for a few years now. Ipsy contains a monthly subscriptions where you can receive 5 beauty products each month for a very cheap price, considering most products are well over a $30 value. Based on a quiz you take, ipsy will handcraft a bag of products they believe you would like and it gets more personalized as time goes on. I’ve received a lot of different products from ipsy, but here are just a few of my favorites.
1. Pacifica Island Life Eyeshadow Palette
The colors in this palette are amazing! If you like simple, understated eyeshadow, then this is the palette for you. The color is a bit more shimmery than matt, but great for an everyday look. I actually use the dark brown color to fill in my brows each morning because the color is so subtle that it just seems to blend right in with my hair.
2. Manna Kadar Cosmetics Radiance Split Pan Bronzer and Highlighter Duo
I don’t do a ton of contouring because I’m pretty much so white that any pigment on my face makes me look like I’m trying too hard, but I do participate in some streaking once in a while. The highlighter in this duo is very shimmery and catches the light just right and it makes my face look like a dewy glorious piece of art.
3. Global Beauty Care Charcoal Wash Off Mask
I have received two of these masks in my time being a subscriber of the ipsy Glam Bag and I really do love it! I often use it once a week and apply it using one of my clean makeup brushes. It applies very smoothly and has a slight cooling sensation and my skin feels so soft and hydrated once it is removed.
4. Margaret Dabbs London Treatment-Enriched Nail Polish in Green Daylily
This is a very opaque aquamarine type of color that at first I didn’t think I would enjoy, but I actually did. It applies well in just one coat and lasts on your nails for weeks at a time.
5. Smashbox Cosmetics Photo Finish Radiance Primer
This primer is really awesome! It makes sure your foundation doesn’t move for most of the day and adds a more shinny and luminescent appearance to your makeup. I usually only apply a dime-sized amount each day under my makeup and it definitely makes application much easier.
6. Eva NYC Mane Magic 10-in-1 Primer
This hair mist smells AMAZING. After each wash of my hair, and I only wash my hair every 4 days to preserve the color, I usually mist a few sprays onto my damp hair once I come out of the shower and immediately feel refreshed. This stuff, as well as smelling like a damn rose garden, detangles my hair and straightens it, making using my straightener the next day much easier.
7. Dirty Little Secret Cosmetics Blush in Kitty Pink
This is probably my favorite blush to date that I have ever tried ever. It is a soft pinkish, almost peachy blush, that is so subtle on my cheeks. As I said before, I am so fair-skinned that any pigment on my skin often looks way too dark, but since this blush is so smooth and powdery, it adds just a hint of color that I need each day.
8. True Botanicals Resurfacing Moisture Mask
This stuff is also a product I have received that smells absolutely wonderful! The application is a bit sticky and goes on the skin a little uncomfortably, but once it is removed I saw definite redness reduction and the overall feel of my skins was so soft and smooth.
9. Ciaté London Gelology Top Coat
This is the most fast-drying top coat I have ever had and it definitely prologues the life of my nail polish by protecting it from the regular damages of everyday living.
10. Tarte Glossy Lip Paint in WCW
This is a great gloss for people who are really bad at applying lip gloss, like me. Although it is a darker reddish color, it is a very forgiving formula that doesn’t stain the skin around the lips in case any touch-ups are needed.
