If you've watched "The Office", then you'll know that the running joke throughout the entire series is the pranks that Jim pulls on Dwight. They start as simple and innocent, but progress throughout the seasons into ideas that I would never in a million years think of playing on another person, which makes them so great. Here are just a few of the best pranks that poor Dwight is subjected to by Jim.
1. When Steve pretends to be Jim.
Jim hires his Asian actor friend, Steve to pretend to play him one day at work. The best part of the joke is not that everyone in the office pretends that Steve is Jim, but that Steve replaces Jim in family photos with Pam and their children.
2. When Jim dresses up as Dwight.
For this prank, Jim comes to work dressed exactly as Dwight, glasses and all. He mimics Dwight's movements, voice, and even his interests, leading Dwight to lecture Jim about how identity theft is a real crime. The scene then ends with both of them storming off screaming, "MICHAEL!"
3. Jim and Pam learning Morse Code to talk about Dwight.
Jim and Pam use the clicking of their mouses and pens to talk about Dwight behind his back. Dwight calls them out on it, and Jim gives what sounds like a ridiculous explanation for how the two of them learned morse code, which ends up being true. Dwight then puts headphones in to ignore the clicking, leading Jim and Pam to start blinking at each other, and Dwight to continue paying attention to them.
4. Jim sending Dwight faxes from the future.
After Jim leaves the Scranton branch, he reveals that he secretly took Dwight's stationary and his now sending him notes from the future to mess with him. Unfortunately, this puts Stanley in the crossfire when he happens to drink the "poisoned" coffee.
5. Dwight's cardboard wrapped desk.
During the Christmas season, Dwight arrives at work to find his desk and everything on it and around it wrapped in wrapping paper. Dwight laughs at Jim, thinking that all he has to do is unwrap everything on his desk. Until he tries to sit in his chair and everything collapses.
6. Training Dwight with Altoids
This one is a little more elaborate. Every time Jim's computer would chime, he would offer Dwight an Altoid. After a while of doing this, it came to the point that whenever Jim's computer would chime, Dwight would begin craving a mint.
7. Putting Dwight's stuff in the vending machine.
Jim is friends with the vending machine guy, so he had him swap all of the snacks in the machine with Dwight's stuff. In order for Dwight to get his stuff back, he has to buy it all back, which becomes difficult since his wallet is also in the vending machine. Jim then gives him a bag of nickels to use so he can try and buy back his things.
8. The mysterious wire behind Dwight's computer.
Dwight finds a mysterious red wire behind his computer, and he has no idea where it goes or what it does. So, he decides to follow it and see where it ends. This ends with Dwight climbing the telephone pole outside. The best part of this prank? That Jim actually climbed all the way up a pole just for a prank on Dwight.
9. Dwight's stapler in jello.
This is the first prank that is pulled in the series. Dwight opens a drawer to look for his stapler, only to find that it is stuck in a plate of jello. Dwight accuses Jim of doing it, and Jim swears he didn't, all while eating a bowl of jello.
10. Increasing the weight of Dwight's phone.
This is another elaborate one. Jim would slowly add nickels to Dwight's office phone, increasing the weight of his phone until Dwight got used to it. Then, he removed them all at once, leading Dwight to smack himself in the head with his own phone.
