10 Power Couples That Will Restore Your Faith in Love

It’s fall and you know what that means: pumpkins, lattes, pumpkin flavored lattes, sweaters, and the flu. But this year the flu seemed to have a different form. It showed up in the form of a breakup bug and it hit Hollywood hard. Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris, Demi and Wilmer, Drake and Rihanna, and the worst of all Brangelina who called it quits after almost ten years together. So this begs the question; IS LOVE DEAD? Although these iconic couples did not have their happy endings, here is a list of 10 power couples who are still going strong.

1.Anna Ferris and Chris Pratt

This comedic couple was married in 2009 and they now have a kid named Jack. They are also two of the funniest people in Hollywood with Anna staring in the hit sitcom Mom and Chris staring as Andy Dwyer in Parks and Recreation.

2.John Krasinski and Emily Blunt

Jim and Pam from The Office was an epic love story, but John and Emily’s real life romance might be better. John Krasinski and Emily Blunt began dating in 2008 and were married by July 10, 2010. The couple have two girls named Hazel and Violet. On various accounts, Krasinksi has admitted to how nervous he was when he first met Emily and that it truly was love at first sight. I mean c’mon.

3.Beyoncé and Jay-Z

Sure there was drama with Beyoncé’s Lemonade album, but doesn't everyone have 99 problems? The couple is still going strong and is crazy in love. Theystarted dating back in 2000 and were married in 2008. They have a daughter named Blue Ivy.

4.Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan

The couple met on the set of Step Up and have been married since 2009. I mean fairytale couple am I right? They have a daughter named Everly.

5.Ellen and Portia

Without a doubt, they are one of Hollywood’s favorite couples. They started dating 2004 and got married in 2008. If you looked up relationship goals in the dictionary, you would probably find a picture of them.

6.Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds became friends after costarring in Green Lantern in 2010. The two started dating a year later and got married in 2012. The adorable couple have a daughter named James and Blake just gave birth to another baby! They are the real life version of the heart eyes emojis.

7.Kim Kardashian and Kanye West

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have been the definition of "power couple" since they got together in in 2012. The two were married in 2014 and have two children, North and Saint. And let's not forget the iconic moment of Kim having her man's back during Taylor Swift Gate. Four for you Kimye! You go Kimye

8.David Burka and Neil Patrick Harris

Now Barney Stinson might be quite the player, but Neil Patrick Harris is quite the opposite. Neil and his partner, David Burka dated for almost a decade before getting engaged in 2008. They are now married and have two children named Harper and Gideon.

9.Will and Jada Smith

Will and Jada are among the few Hollywood couples who have been together for almost two decades. They have been married and keepin it fresh (prince of Bel-Air) for seventeen years and have two kids named Willow and Jayden. Now that's a relationship Uncle Phil and Aunt Viv would be proud of.

10.Barack and Michelle Obama

Yes, I saved the best for last. Barack and Michelle Obama have been married since 1992 and are one of the most iconic and recognizable duos. Not only did Barack and Michelle meet while working at a Chicago law firm. They also have two daughters named Sasha and Malia. Is it too late to vote for an Obama Dynasty?

Hopefully this made you slightly believe in love again. Maybe just a little. If any of these couples break up, then yes love is dead. But until then they will be our shining beacon of light in this time of despair.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads.
