You've heard them all before and at first you may have caught yourself singing along. They might have ended up in your music library or your "in-the-car" playlist. And maybe you never liked them to begin with. But in any case, it pains you to hear them play and when they come on, you demand a different song immediately. So without further ado, here are the 10 songs that actually make you cringe.

1. "Fancy" - Iggy Azalea

At times I wonder why all the hate on Iggy became so strong. Sometimes I think she's not all that bad, but then I hear "Fancy" and I suddenly remember why.

2. "Shut Up and Dance" - WALK THE MOON

If you hear this song again, you might just explode. And if that doesn't happen, you ironically want to yell, "Shut up and turn that off!"

3. "Happy" - Pharrell

When this song debuted along side the animation film, "Despicable Me 2," you were probably singing with Pharrell and feeling pretty happy about it. However now when it plays, you might find you're inclined to break your car radio.

4. "Watch Me (Whip / Nae Nae)" - Silentó

This song . . . It's more of an endless list of dance moves than anything else and even if it was a good song, you know you've heard it one too many times to actually enjoy it anymore.

5. "What Does the Fox Say?" - Ylvis

Why this song became so popular is in the first place is beyond me, but the fact is it did. But now it's faded in popularity and hopefully it'll stay that way because frankly, we don't care what the fox says.

6. "Gangnam Style" - PSY

This one-hit wonder was a YouTube sensation and made many TV appearances. You couldn't help but shed a tear when they introduced a performance by PSY because you knew it was going to be that painful.

7. "All About That Bass" - Meghan Trainor

This song's cause of death, like many songs out there, was exhaustion from replay after replay. I'm sorry for your loss Meghan and may your first hit single rest in peace.

8. "Fight Song" - Rachel Platten

I know this song has a meaningful message, but it's just a little too cheesy and always on the radio. If it's your fight song, that's great! Blast it as loud as you want, but please do it in the privacy of your own home or with earphones in.

9."Uptown Funk feat. Bruno Mars" - Mark Ronson

You may have loved or hated this song upon first listening to it. Either way, it's more than done now and at this past Super Bowl, a little part of you, even unknowingly, died inside when you heard it played against songs by Beyoncé and Coldplay.

10. "Shake It Off" - Taylor Swift

Taylor - It's OK, you have plenty of other great songs out there, but this one has been played so much and often against our will. In addition, once this song is in your head, it's almost impossible to "shake it off."

We love music. It's one of the largest industries on the planet for a reason. Unfortunately though, we do grow to hurt at the sound of certain songs. Sometimes they were just overplayed and sometimes they weren't good to begin with. However maybe they'll be great throwback songs in the future. But until then and for now, these are the 10 songs that actually make you cringe.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
