10 Places You Should Visit Before You Die
Ronan O'Donohoe

For the past 18 years, I was lucky enough to travel within and out of the country due to how diversified and spread out my family was. Some were tourist hotspots and some were local places and I'm here to give you a list of my favorite places you should definitely visit in your lifetime.

1. Ginnie Springs, Florida

Located in Gainesville, Florida, this crystal blue springs is a great place to cool off and hang out with friends and family during the hot summers in Florida. You can easily rent out tubes to go floating down the river, snorkel, scuba dive into the caves, swing off of the rope swings, and go camping if you wish.

2. Savannah, Georgia

This historic city that's located on the coastal side of Georgia, has been around is the 1700s and is filled with antebellum architecture, horse-drawn carriages, and tons of thrifty stores. You can find the Chippewa Square park where the Forrest Gump movie took place here. SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) is always located here and is a hotspot for those artsy tourists out there.

3. Chicago, Illinois

This big city is known for their delicious deep dish pizzas and they definitely earned that title. If you find yourself in this beautiful city, you'll be able to find the Willis Tower, the Cloud Gate, the Art Institute of Chicago (for those who loved The Vow), and tons and tons of deep dish pizzarias.

4. Toronto, Canada

Commonly known as the hometown for the Toronto Bluejay's and Drake's hometown, this city is a must if you're just happening to visit Canada. You can visit the Bluejay's stadium, one of the many museums they have, eat some Tim Horton's, and if you're feeling adventurous, do the Edgewalk located on the CN Tower! You'll be able to see the whole city from 1,197 feet above ground!

5. South Korea

With my mom and I being born in this very culture-rich country, my friends always ask me what South Korea is like compared to America. In South Korea, you can visit major cities such as Seoul, the capital, or my hometown, Gyeongju and walk around downtown through tons and tons of stores to shop your bank account away. If you want to visit the country side, you can travel to national parks or green tea plantations (the picture above) if you wish. If you're traveling with a family, go ahead and stop by one of the many amusement parks South Korea has to offer!

6. Coco Cay, Bahamas

A tourism spot for Royal Caribbean cruisers, this privately owned island allows you to tan in the sun, snorkel with sea animals, feed chickens during lunch, or simply just swim in the crystal clear beach waters.

7. New York City, New York

With this city famously known for their city life, you can visit their modern art museums, try their famous thin-crusted pizzas, visit their famous buildings such as the Empire State Building, or even watch a broadway play if you're up for it.

8. Wynwood Walls, Miami, Florida

This art district is a popular local hangout spot for the people of Miami. You can visit the graffiti walls, eat delicious cuban food, listen to local bands at night, visit the flea markets on the weekends here, and take cute pictures with your friends.

9. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Orlando, Florida

Located in Universal Studios and Island of Adventures in Orlando, Florida, this is a hotspot for every Harry Potter fans out there. You can ride the Harry Potter themed rollercoasters if you're feeling a bit adventurous, drink their famous butterbeer, walk through Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade if you'd like.

10. Ireland

Saving the best for last, my trip to Ireland will always have a special place in my heart. I got to explore what the country life is all about. In this beautiful country, you can visit one of the many historical castles they have such as the Kylemore Abbey Castle (picture above), the Ross Castle, the Blarney Castle, etc. You can take a trip to some of Ireland's famous natural attractions such as the Cliffs of Moher, Killarney National Park, and the Giant's Causeway. While you're visiting all of these places by car, train, or bus, you'll get a beautiful view of green hills and mountains that will take your breath away. For the Star Wars: The Force Awakens fans out there, you can even take a boat trip out to Skellig Island and visit the place where Rey found Luke Skywalker. To experience the full Irish culture, take a visit down to one of Ireland's famous cities such as Dublin to experience what they're all about by dancing around to the Irish music.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about.
