Denton is home to many restaurants that bring their own flavor of Denton to the table. Not all of the restaurants on this list originated here, but they’re all good places to eat.
1. Chuy’s
I just want to start by saying that I've worked at Chuy’s for a year now and I still love the food. Chuy’s is From Austin, Texas, and is home to plates like the “big as yo’ face burrito.” And wouldn't you know it? They are just about as big as your face. You should check out our free Nacho Car too. It's from 4-7 Monday through Friday.
2. Lone Star Attitude (LSA)
LSA is located on the square in the beating heart of Denton hipsterdom. Their burgers are named after famous musicians like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Willie Nelson and Freddie Mercury. The high quality burgers and frequent live music will leave you with many opportunities to be well fed and entertained.
3. Viet Bites
Viet Bites was established in 2012 and already has two locations opened. They offer four main dishes that are highly customizable. Their quirky attitude fits readily into the Denton Vibe.
4. Mr.Chopsticks
It's good pan-Asian food and it’s located close to the UNT campus. It's a good place to go if you're looking for a relaxed environment.
5. Luigi’s
Luigi's is an Italian food inauspiciously located in the middle of the road construction on 380. It's a Denton original that has good food, decent service and a new and improved location.
6. J&J’s On The Square
They have some of the best pizza in Denton. Looking for inexpensive food while perusing the Denton square? This is the place to go to get in and out quickly on the square.
7. Beth Marie's ice cream
If you've been in Denton any length of time, you've probably heard someone talk about Beth Marie's ice cream. With over 100 rotating flavored, it's pretty easy to find something you're going to like. I like to get their purple cow, a grape flavored ice cream.
8. New York Sub-Hub
It's set up kind of like a subway, without the hospital lighting. When it comes to getting sandwiches in Denton, this is the place to go.
9. La Milpa
Honestly never eaten here. I've just heard that they have $2 margaritas everyday now and that's pretty awesome.
