If you haven't gathered already from my last name, I am extremely Italian. My family is about as stereotypical as can be, and certain traditions have been in my family for generations. It wasn't until I moved away to college that I truly gained appreciation for the culture that I was raised up with, mostly because I have yet to find a decent slice of pizza since I've been away. So, due to the fact that I would give my left arm for some of my mom's cooking rather than cafeteria food. Here's 10 pictures that every Italian-Americans can relate to:
1. Yelling everything even though there's no reason to yell.
2. Huge quantities of food no matter what the meal.
3. When there was leftover sauce, it was stored in one of these
4. Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin are on repeat at all hours of the day.
5. Every Sunday was dedicated to making pasta and meatballs (at your nonni's, of course).
6. You still haven't met your entire family.
7. And on special occasions, Sambuca is a staple (double points if the three coffee beans were in it).
8. Having nobody understand how to say your name.
9. Wine is served out of this (and you were lucky if a family member would let you have a sip).
10. Sure your family is crazier than most, but at the end of the day, you all have each other's back.
