I am the kind of person who imagines myself being 40 and single with ten dogs. I have an obsession with dogs. In the movie Marley & Me it says, “A person can learn a lot from a dog, even a loopy one like ours. Marley taught me about living each day with unbridled exuberance and joy, about seizing the moment and following your heart. He taught me to appreciate the simple things -- a walk in the woods, a fresh snowfall, a nap in a shaft of winter sunlight. And as he grew old and achy, he taught me about optimism in the face of adversity. Mostly, he taught me about friendship and selflessness and, above all else, unwavering loyalty.” I think this quote so perfectly describes how much influence a dog can have on your life.

Recently, I have become obsessed with one certain dog on the internet. This dog is named Doug The Pug. No, not Doug, but Doug The Pug. I am usually not amused when people dress their animals up in costumes, but for some reason Doug The Pug just gives me life. Of course, this dog has its own Facebook page, Instagram and Snapchat, all of which I follow. If you have never seen Doug The Pug, I am so glad I can introduce you to him. Here are 10 Doug The Pug photos to help you get through the day and bring a smile to your face.

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
