10 Phases Every Friendship Goes Through To Become Best Friends

There is nothing better than having girl friend's that you can count on no matter what. The key to a good friendship is to have each others back's, create great memories, and also get as much dirt on them as possible so they can never leave your side. If people have to ask if you're dating or just best friends that's when you know you've hit all 10 steps of your friendship. To be honest, the steps of becoming best friends is almost like the steps you and your "boo" take to get to the dating aspect. The only difference is you never have to worry about your best friend leaving your side. So here are the 10 steps you go through to get to the best friend stage.

1. The "Nice" phase

This is the stage where you are just becoming friends so you are extremely nice to each other. You're learning everything about each other from what you hate to what you love. This stage is full of compliments, even if that dress doesn't look the greatest you're still not close enough to tell her so.

2. The "We're always together" phase

This happens with every friendship, you go from hardly knowing each other to not being separable for at least a month. This stage will slowly wear off though. However, if you get through this stage without hating the person you're more than likely going to stay BFF's for life.

3. The "Couple" phase

Alright, so this is the phase when people start questioning if you're just friends or if you're more. You have approached that weird we have nicknames and are rude to each other stage while still not being separable stage. You get upset when one of you takes to long to text back and oh my Lord help us if you blow each other off for a date.

4. The "Blunt" phase

This is the phase where you'll straight up tell each other if she's too good for him, that dress looks awful on her, she needs to eat more salad, etc. You will probably not like the "blunt" stage when it comes to the guy you're in love with and she's telling you that you don't need him and not to cry over him. However, it's part of having her as your best friend.

5. The "No secrets" phase

This is where it gets scary and no matter what you have to stay best friends because you know too much about each other.

6. The "She may text it but you said it" phase

This is the phase where you start talking for each other. Yes, someone may be in an argument with you but you're best friend wrote half of the text.

7. The "Inside joke" phase

So this is the phase when people hate to be around y'all only because instead of having normal conversations y'all have inside joke conversations.

8. The "Your house is my house" phase

This is the phase where you either have a house key to each other's house, know the garage code, know where the spare is or when you're outside you just walk on in like it's your own house. Like I say "Mi casa es su casa."

9. The "No conversation is off limits" phase

This is where you guys have become so close there is nothing you can not say around each other. Sometimes it can get so personal some people would get freaked out. However, it is just a normal conversation for y'all.

10. The "Your mom is my mom" phase

This is the phase where you start to share the same mom. It can get so bad that when your mom goes on vacation she brings your best friend something back.

We have each met all 10 of these steps and I couldn't be happier with the best friends that God has placed in my life! I love you ugly people!

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.

College Informations

Most of us have already started the spring semester, and for those of you who haven't started yet, you suck.

It seems like coming back from winter break wouldn't really be a break all things considered, since we all come back to school and pick up right where we left off. We know exactly what to expect, yet we're unprepared every single time.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

CSU

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
