10 Perks to Living Alone
New York Times

Having a roommate is something that I think everyone should experience, because it allows you to see exactly how you want to live and the things that annoy you the most. Although living with another human has its pros, living alone is a wonderful time. Here are the top 10 perks of living alone.

1. It is as clean or messy as you want it to be.

2. You can turn on whatever lights you want without worrying about someone else.

3. You can turn the music up as loud as you want.

4. You never have to question if the bathroom or shower will be open.

5. You can eat whatever you want, whenever you want without judgement.

6. If you don't want to put clothes on, you don't have to.

7. Dancing around like an idiot goes completely unnoticed.

8. You can talk to yourself and no one is there to question you.

9. You can decorate however you like- even if that means Christmas decor in October.

10. Quiet time is always an option.

This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.

It seems like coming back from winter break wouldn't really be a break all things considered, since we all come back to school and pick up right where we left off. We know exactly what to expect, yet we're unprepared every single time.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.
