Anxiety can mean stressing over little things, or really really big things; there's no in between. Even if you know you've done something, you still panic and contemplate if you've done it or not. It's hard for others to understand whether or not you're faking it or if you really are freaking out about something so small, but in reality, it's hard for you to understand it too. You know by now that there's not much you can do about it other than find your ways to cope and move on. Spongebob is a perfect example of someone with anxiety; perfectly portraying the emotions you feel when you forget to feed your pet dog, flip the burger, or close the door.

1. Forgetting To Do Something

Did you lock your car? Did you put your dirty clothes in the hamper? Did you feed your fish? Did you take your medicine? Probably not, so let's freak out about it.

2. Messy Areas

I can't live with myself if my living space gets too cluttered. Clothes on the back of my chair? No. Shoes scattered across the floor? No. Items that I'm not using that are just laying around? No. When I clean, I clean hardcore.

3. Information Overload

Too much information, not enough time. I need to learn this, this, and that, all in a certain amount of time to consider myself productive. I need to memorize this, study for that test, and write this essay.

4. Being Late

I can't be late. There is nothing in this world I hate more than being late. If you're not more than ten minutes early, you're late. Do not make me late.

5. Not Being Good Enough

There are those days where you feel like you can't get anything right and nothing is going your way. The entire world is against you, and you can't figure out why you just can't be good enough.

6. Screwing Something Up

Someone with anxiety's worst fear. You want everything to be perfect. Even if it's something small and fixable, you find yourself blowing it up in your head, making it ten times worse than it actually is.

7. Sitting somewhere for a long period of time.

Please don't make me sit somewhere for longer than an hour-and-a-half. I can barely watch a movie without getting impatient and antsy. I will go crazy.

8. Over-Commitment

The most stressful of them all. You want to help everyone, but you just end up draining yourself until you can't do it anymore.

9. Being Around People For Too Long

Don't get me wrong, I love my friends, but time to myself is extremely important. I start to get easily frustrated and annoyed even when I'm with some of my best friends. I know my limits, and I know when to separate myself.

10. Having An Anxiety Attack

This is the hardest one to deal with, every single time. Whether it be any of the above reasons, or something else, you know whatever is causing it isn't worthy of your stress, but it takes you over anyways. No one ever understands why you're stressing over something so small, but you know all of the secrets to calming yourself down. This is almost always the end product of the above statements, but you've learned how to cope in all circumstances, despite others misunderstanding.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
