Every family is unique in their own way but we all have these in the family:

1. The Adult-Child

This is the person who runs around with the kid's toys playing with them screaming "you can't have it!"

2. The Super Hugger

You can't get away from this one and usually they have a distinct odor of litter.

3. The Cool Mom (or Aunt)

4. The Awesome Aunt/Uncle

They have been everywhere and are able to give you advice on anything. Plus they don't judge.

5. The Judgmental Person

They are always asking how you are and comparing you to their child or someone else they idolize.

6. The Drunk One

There is always one or multiple that get way too drunk and end up spilling something on the sofa.

7. The "Cook"

The one who thinks they can cook so the actual cook gives them something small to keep them busy so they don't mess up the meal.

8. The Overprotective One

You say you want to go out after dinner and they loss their shit. "What time are you coming home? You aren't driving are you? You need to just not go anything can happen?"

9. The New Person

This person has no idea what is going on. They are likely a friend of a cousin, a new girlfriend, or a new boyfriend. They are awkward and uncomfortable and just hoping they can leave soon.

10. The Long-Distance Relative

They live far away so you never get to see them.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
