WE ARE... really going to miss this place. I can't lie— I'm excited to go home. But I have a feeling that after about 12 hours of sitting in Suburbia, I'm going to be twiddling my thumbs ready to tailgate.
While there actually isn't one thing I won't miss about Penn State, there are 10 things I will miss above all:
1. Football
Blue and White weekend, you tease. It was a fun day, but let's be honest the only thing getting us through the long summer months is the return of Penn State Football, Beaver Stadium, and chicken baskets.
2. Friends
High school friends are great and it's always nice to see them, but it's just not the same as the connection you have with your best friend you're getting Canyon Pizza with at 2 in the morning.
3. Daylongs
Whether they return in the fall or not, there is no denying we'll all miss sitting outside on a beautiful spring day with, well, everyone else at Penn State. We're addicted to nice weather.
4. The Creamery
Especially after the launch of their newest flavor, Monkey Business, the separation may be unbearable.
5. Meal Points and Lion Cash
About to spend the next three months asking places if they accept Lion Cash.
6. HUB Lawn
Where am I going to eat poke bowls and play with puppies now?
7. The IM Building
Let's face it, this gym is nicer than 99% of gyms in the real world.
8. The Old Main Bells
I'm not sure if anyone actually uses these to keep track of time, but there's something about strolling across campus and hearing them play to remind you of what a beautiful school this is.
9. McLanahan's
You're telling me it's not socially acceptable to go buy Doritos, cookie dough, Gatorade, and a Penn State t-shirt at 11:45 p.m. outside of State College? Oh.
10. Penn State Puppies
I love my own dog to death, like I'm sure many people do, but nothing brightens my day like seeing a service dog or a puppy in a PSU sweater on my way to class.
