When watching a movie do you ever have fleeting thoughts like “that would be awesome” or “I want to try that”? That is how movie watching goes on in my mind. I constantly think of what I would do if I was in the main character’s position. I try to keep my thoughts to myself as to not interrupt my friends’ enjoyment of the movie. This is my opportunity to share some of the impulsive actions movies have made me want to do!
10.Slay at Prom
Slay as in prom in the movie Carrie, not in a girl-you-slay-in-that-dress type of prom. You understand if you’ve ever been outraged at your entire school.
9. Start a Revolution
Have you ever been so invigorated that you just want to round up a group of people and fight for something?
8. Dance Anywhere and Everywhere
I think musicals do this to most people, correct me if I’m wrong. When you hear your jam out in public you’ve just got to jam!
7. Be a Vengeful Barber
Sweeny Todd is such a fascinating movie to me! The disgusting and clever scheme that takes place in some ways makes me wish that I could be that inventive.
6. Swindle Like a Pirate
Johnny Depp has enticed me to want to be as slick as his character Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean series. The captain is easily able to talk his way out of troublesome situations, normally while at the same time being able to pocket something for his own good. I would love to be able to multitask like that!
5. Go on a Mysterious Hunt
The Da Vinci Code makes me want to run around the world on a dangerous and mysterious case. I want to be able to discover minuscule hidden clues that only a brainiac would be able to solve.
4. Befriend a Dragon
Shrek is a favorite of mine, but I especially love the relationship between Donkey and Dragon. Now I don’t want to marry and have babies with a dragon, but having a dragon as a friend and mode of transportation would be sick!
3. Be Stranded on a Desert Island
This is a classic plot, but it’s a good plot. You can constantly imagine different survival methods, and you get to critique the idiotic mistakes the main character makes while trying to stay alive. You get to be the Bear Grylls of the situation.
2. Canoe Just Around the Riverbend
Who hasn’t wanted to stand up in a canoe and sing while basically white water rafting on the way to get advice from your wise grandmother who happens to be a tree? It can’t just be Pocahontas and I!
1. Tumble into the Seine
Everything about the movie La La Land enchants me, but Mia’s audition at the end hits me hard.
