10 One Tree Hill Quotes We All Need To Hear

After nine seasons and 187 episodes, I think that it is safe to say that "One Tree Hill" taught us a lot. Between heartbreaks, murder, love, friendships, and life changing experiences, here are 10 quotes to get you through the day.

1. "Sometimes pain becomes such a huge part of your life that you expect it to always be there. Because you can't remember a time in your life when it wasn't, but then one day you feel something else. Something that feels wrong, only because its so unfamiliar. Then in that moment you realize you're happy."

2. "It's the oldest story in the world. One day, you're 17 and planning for someday and then quietly, and without you ever noticing, someday is today. And then someday is yesterday. And this is your life."

3. “There's no shame in being afraid. Hell, we're all afraid. What you gotta do is figure out what you're afraid of because when you put a face on it, you can beat it. Better yet, you can use it.”

4. "Sometimes life will kick you around, but sooner or later, you realize you're not just a survivor. You're a warrior, and you're stronger than anything life throws your way."

5. "And when you find yourself lost in the darkness and despair, remember it's only in the black of night you see the stars."

6. "If you’re lucky … if you’re the luckiest person on this entire planet, the person you love decides to love you back."

7. "At this moment there are 6,470,818,617 people in the world. Some are running scared, some are coming home, some are telling lies, just to make it through the day. Others, just now facing the truth. Some are evil men at war with good, and some are good, struggling with evil. Six billion people in the world. Six billion souls. And sometimes, all you need is one."

8. "Love is a wonderful thing. And it doesn't knock much, so when it does, make sure to open the door."

9. "People are gonna label you. It's how you overcome those labels, that's what matters."

10. "Sometimes I think we waste our words and we waste our moments, and we don't take the time to say the things that are in our hearts when we have the chance."

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Recently I completed my freshman year of college, and boy, what an experience. It was a completely new learning environment and I can't believe how much I learned. In an effort to save time, here are the ten biggest lessons I learned from my first year of college.

1. Everyone is in the same boat

For me, the scariest part of starting school was that I was alone, that I wouldn't be able to make any friends and that I would stick out. Despite being told time and time again that everyone had these same feelings, it didn't really click until the first day when I saw all the other freshman looking as uneasy and uncomfortable as me. Therefore, I cannot stress this enough, everyone is feeling as nervous as you.
