Christmas was fun, New Years was a blast, and even Valentine's Day was alright, but now what are you supposed to do? Wait until Easter? Not a chance. Here are 10 holidays to help you get through your "It's finally spring, but it's still 10 below out" slump.

March 13-Fill Our Staplers Day

The printer took forever, but your term paper finally printed. You're rushing out the door and you just have to staple it together but wait--disaster! You're all out of staples. There's no time to spare, so you sprint off to class bunny-earing the paper you haven't slept in three weeks to work on. It was an A+ paper, but your professor knocks you down to a C- due to poor presentation. If only you had remembered to fill up your stapler on Fill Our Staplers Day, you wouldn't have to delay graduation and take another semester of college.

March 15-True Confessions Day

Got a secret? Take a step back into your middle school persona and use True Confessions Day to tell your crush you've been in love with them for the past seven years. Either that or finally admit to your roommate it was you who accidentally broke her favorite mug. Either way, honesty feels good and a weight will be lifted from your shoulders. Happy confessing!

March 17-St. Patri-...World Sleep Day

Yeah, yeah, we all know March 17 is St. Patrick's Day, but it seems to be overshadowing an equally, if not more, important holiday: World Sleep Day. World Sleep Day is an activity of World Sleep Society and founded by World Association of Sleep Medicine and World Sleep Federation. Who knew there were so many groups focused on the best activity ever? World Sleep Day is about trying to advance sleep knowledge and health worldwide, or you can celebrate by napping in your leprechaun hat after downing five Guinness at the parade. To each his own.

March 20-International Day of Happiness

Need a reason to smile? The International Day of Happiness, an official UN holiday, was created in 2013 when people realized progress should value human happiness and well-being and not just economic growth. So take time out of your day today to do whatever it is that makes you happy and share that smile with a friend. Little by little, we can make the world can be a happier place.

March 21-International Day of Forests

Forests give us life. Literally. Not only do trees give us the oxygen we need to breathe, but 75 percent of the world's accessible freshwater comes from forest watersheds. They provide homes for 80 percent of the world's terrestrial animals, plants, and insects, and 1.6 billion people depend on forests for their livelihood. On International Day of Forests, go out and celebrate the beautiful forest eco-system while you still can because 13 million hectares of forest are destroyed every year. Enjoy the forests and protect them so the future can enjoy them, too.

March 23-National Puppy Day

There's a new answer to the question, "What's your favorite holiday?" and it's right here. Christmas can wait because March 23 is National Puppy Day aka the best day ever. Take your pup for a walk or take a cuddly nap together on the couch. Don't have your own? Visit your local Humane Society to give some love to the pups without a home. You might just fall in love.

March 25-International Waffle Day

Waffle Day originated in Sweden. The name comes from the holiday VÃ¥rfrudagen, a Christian holiday celebrating the announcement to the Virgin Mary that she would be giving birth to Jesus. There was however, no good way to celebrate that and VÃ¥rfrudagen sounds an awful lot like VÃ¥ffeldagen, or "waffle day" in Swedish so hey, now you have an excuse to eat waffles.

March 28-National Something on a Stick Day

It's not time for the Minnesota State Fair yet, but we can always pretend. August is way too far away, anyway. To celebrate National Something on a Stick Day, you can go basic with your corn dog or try your hand at State Fair-esque recipes like deep-fried candy bars on a stick or bacon on a stick. Anything you can put on a stick counts. You never know; maybe your newly discovered dish could be featured at the fair come August.

March 29-Manatee Appreciation Day

Shouldn't every day be Manatee Appreciation Day? I mean look at these beautiful creatures. They're basically giant, curious, cuddly puppies that live in the ocean. Manatees are vegetarians and have no natural predators. Previously endangered, manatees have been doing pretty well as of late. In January, they were officially downgraded from "endangered" to "threatened." What more reason for celebration do you need?

March 31-World Backup Day

It's not the most fun day, but it could me one of the most important. Back up your phone, your laptop, or anything else you have precious memories or important documents on on World Backup Day, because you never know when a virus or a walk in the rain could take it all away.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
