Daily college life can sometimes get the best of us. Trying to juggle numerous classes, work, having a social life, and sleeping more than six hours a night may seem next to impossible. We tend to not make the most rational decisions at times, like blowing all our money on Hopcat crack fries or Conrads. Most days we don’t have our lives put together or figured out, much like Nick Miller from New Girl. He views his life as comical, since he never has it all quite put together, which is extremely relatable to most college students. He tends to have difficulty being productive and his love life is always a mess. Here are 10 GIFs of Nick Miller that any MSU student could relate to….

1.

Did you go out the night before an exam instead of studying? Or on Thursday night when you have an 8am Friday morning? Bet you regret that decision while you are dying in class the next morning, but hey its better than not going, right?

2.

Fraternity boys weirdly love to have dance battles in their basements. Why you ask? Who knows. The sad part is, most of the time they seem to show up the girls and its never a pretty sight.

3.

You probably don't have a ton of spending money, but when you have a little extra lying around you feel like the wealthiest person in the world.

4.

We all know somebody whose personal hygiene isn’t always the best. When is the last time you did your laundry…or even took a shower…get it together man.

5.

When you start thinking about all the exams you have coming up, finals, the laundry you didn’t get done yet, the dishes you still have to do, the summer internship you haven't applied for, your resume that is bare, the paper you have due tomorrow, and the other million things you have on your mind…mental breakdowns are common.

6.

Life can be overwhelmingly sad at times and it may be difficult to focus on your studies. Try not to freak out, we’ve all been there once or twice.

7.

Why do professors think it is okay to schedule exams the day before Thanksgiving?

8.

Week after week you try to have faith in the MSU football team, yet you're continuously let down.

9.

Sometimes you just get really stressed out and eat your feelings away. It’s okay, no judgement here.

10.

It’s not uncommon that you cry when you see a dog at a tailgate or when you call home, your emotions may be all over the place at times.

Although college is supposed to be the best years of our lives, it is totally okay to not be put together at all times, just like Nick Miller. We have our whole lives to figure out the logistics, let’s have some fun while we still can.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
