The New Year is always a time for big celebration. Out with the old, in with the new, right? And along with this "new", there are always tons of resolutions being made. Everyone always says that with the new year, they will be a better version of themselves. The funny part about this is that no one ever actually follows these resolutions. Even if they seem great on December 31st, they don't tend to remain great once that clock hits 12:00 am and the ball drops. I'm no different than anyone else when it comes to sticking to my old ways. So, with the new year coming up, here are 10 resolutions I won't be making.

1. Eat healthy

I prefer fries over salad, anyways.

2. Be less stressed

Is that really an option?

3. Save more, spend less

I should really buy all those newly released items I'll probably only use once!

4. Get more organized

But, all of my stuff looks great on the floor!

5. Be more social

Netflix is the only friend I need.

6. Get more sleep

Too much stuff, not enough time.

7. Reinvent myself

I'm only a complete mess sometimes... I'll be ok.

8. Quit bad habits

Where's the fun in that?

9. Spend less time on social media

How else would I find out my Facebook "friend" I've never actually met farted today?

10. Exercise more and get fit

Fat bottomed girls make the rockin' world go 'round!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
